They may well get one of the managers that Man United fans were eyeing up. Which means one less candidate available for when United do actually decide to pull their finger out.

It was hardly swift nor decisive. They've been deliberating sacking him for months, and probably would have so earlier if they could have afforded it.
Unfortunately for Koeman, Barcelona does not have a SAF or CO 92 rallying for him.
It almost certainly is. The fact that their preferred candidate is under discussion for another job will likely have been a contributing factor to them pulling the trigger on Koeman
