Barcelona: Charged with corruption .... again!

Because I’m talking about this season?

When ole came in the club was a shambles. He steadied the ship and the last two seasons have been continuing that work. Barca fans should be hoping for somebody like ole to come in because right now, they look even worse than United under mourinho.
This season is an extension of the past two seasons with insipid performances being masked by us grinding out lucky wins.

The actual football is shit the majority of the time under him and he's just not lucking his way into wins this time.

Seems you're off to Barca?

But that's all he wants. Nothing else.

Yeah, I sometimes do wonder if journos think about the feasibility of what they're reporting. Having said that, a club that is on the verge of financial ruin if it doesn't mend it's ways buying players worth 400m and probably increasing the wage budget by 2-2.5x in 1 year would be typical Barca though

Fake news I think, the newspaper where the news comes out has no credibility.
Olmo, VDB and Gravenberch , three midfielders having Barcelona to De Jong, Pedri and coming Gavi and Nico. An absurdity.
It also seems that Barcelona is close to Alberto Moleiro, 17-year-old player from Las Palmas, he is already called the new Pedri, quality has a lot and good future

Ole is a painfully mediocre manager, Barca are rebuilding now but there isn't a single thing in the last 7 years of United that any other club envies. Even Ronaldo has already figured out that Ole is a bit of a clown. Ole may not even see out the season.

   Your club is the literal joke of world football right now and not only is it horrendously run, your players are utter shit and you don’t have the finances to replace them.

I’d say the Barca board are incredibly envious of United right now because you’re staring down a very dark path.

The commercial arm of Utd is the envy of many clubs. Barcelona included.

Barca aren’t rebuilding, you are at rock bottom, going nowhere.

Rebuilding with Koeman and Memphis who wouldn’t even sign a longterm contract eh. Don’t kid yourself. You need a brand new side basically and don’t have the funds or the manager to make it happen. So before you come on a United forum to insult the club and the manager perhaps you should have a long look at yourself and your pompous club which is now seemingly fecked for the near future at the very least.

Commercial income season 19/20

United - €306M
Barcelona - €297M

I don't think that difference is like to cause envy.

I want to feck Jennifer Lopez. That’s all I want. I’ll even pay for my own flight over if she agrees. That’s all I want.

Yeah but Messi brought in €99,000,000 of that, or something.

Bartomeu lost his mind in recent years, luckily, Barcelona is owned by his fans and they kicked out him a year before of the end of his presidency.
Now it's time to rebuild calmly and there are good young players and Barcelona will have money to sign in the summer, not much but for a couple of good players.
Regarding Manchester United, I do not share how they are doing things.
They have a team of present and if they do not win anything in the next 2 years (honestly I do not think they win neither league nor champions) they will have a complicated future.
If Sancho and Greenwood become top players then United will have money to sign midfield players.
If they stay one step below the top then it will be complicated. United will spend the money on midfielders and will they stay with players below the top or will they sign forwards and wingers and will they leave the midfield as it is now?
This year the wage bill has risen a lot and in the coming years there will not be so much money.

Barcelona's economic vice president said a few days ago that of all the sponsors only one had hesitated over Messi's departure.

Barcelona's budget this year is €765M and they expect to have benefits

Yeah, but there are rebuilds and rebuilds. Barca are in the category where it is like having to rebuild the Norte Dame Cathedral on a budget that could about cover rebuilding the garden shed. Utd's problems aren't comparable as 1) the finance is there, 2) the rebuild isn't as big and 3) they can actually afford to sack their manager (if they want too) rather than probably have go the season with him as a lame duck as they'll be FFP consequences for them if they do sack him.

United has a £480.03m net spend since 17/18 so about £96m per season. United will keep improving their squad by buying the next sancho, Maguire or Rice every summer. United has the spending power. They are well managed financially so good for them. Whether they buy the right player however is another story.

Don't they expect a profit of only €5M? Considering how much has been saved on players with massive wages, and you needing a big rebuild, that's not ideal.

Koeman last year has given opportunity to many guys among others Pedri and Araujo, and this year the same and is very important when rebuilding a team.
I remember that Van Gaal was criticized the same thing 20 years ago and gave opportunity to Xavi, Puyol, Iniesta or Valdes.

If a person says that ole is a mediocre coach I don't think is an insult, my opinion is that he does not have the level for a top club, he does not have the knowledge or experience as a coach for the highest level. A shame because I like him very well both when he was a player and now as a coach. A good guy.
And to say that United since Ferguson's retirement have not done well is not an insult either, the last years of Ferguson I no longer liked how things were being done.
I found the signing of Mourinho disastrous for example, but if you said it here when it became official you would have been skinned alive, in the end you have to let time pass and see how things develop.

They really don’t.

we have two players who are in their mid 30’s. Otherwise our first team is one of the most youthful in the league especially considering attacking talent.

Jesus Christ, your figures are proped up by your shirt deal where you took manufacturing in house. It’s artificially inflated your turn over. You’ve also lost a key marketing tool while United has just gained a massive one again in Ronaldo…

I just noticed Luis Enrique drafted 17 yo Gavi for Spain's national football team.

I haven't seen much of the lad and can't give an opinion if he has the level (he would be surpassing other Spanish consolidated players like Ander Herrera or Fabián Ruiz) but I think Luis Enrique does this because he enjoys to enrage Madrid's press.

Only big problem with his drafting, IMO, is Eric García. He has been awful for Barsa and Spain has better defenders than him.

ah yes, how dare I insult united when this entire thread is dedicated to simply insulting Barca. Ole is a mediocre manager period, we are in a rebuild And it’ll take time to get there

As it was previously said, if you think Barcelona is going to rebuild there team by getting a new golden generation from La Masia like this one or Busquets, Messi, you're in for a huge disappointment. It was a statistical anomaly, a pure age of wonders that is not going to happen again. Barcelona fans have a tendancy to overrate young players a lot, it's kinda awkward to see so many praises for Puig for exemple.

Not at all, united are Europa level and despite all their lavish spending still can’t into a quarter finals of CL. Barca are in a mess right now but they’ll bounce back long before the 7 years it took United who have also been terribly managed. I’ll take the trophies (including the treble) over the last 7 years over United. And there’s nothing United has right now that make the next 7 years the envy of any other club.

Thank you for mentioning this. I was about to myself. It's the cost of doing all that which often gets overlooked. It wasn't a good move for them.

Ronaldo is a massive marketing tool and losing Messi is definitely devastating for Barca. But despite you liking Ole can you at least agree that benching Ronaldo against Everton was madness?

for what it’s worth, with the right manager and an improved midfield you guys can win the league

This is a much more measured post compared to his calling OGS a clown. Whatever you think of him as a manager he deserves more respect than that.

As far as Barca go yes you have a few youngsters but we’ve seen what that looks like with no real quality around to guide them at Arsenal.

It’s one thing to say he’s a mediocre manager and quite another to call him a clown.
