Just about given up on both of these now, especialy as the later no longer exist.

I saw RATM at Reading Festival in 1996. They were very good but I wouldn't want to see them now, I'm too old for that shouty/angsty music!

I'm quite lucky when it comes to bands, I've seen most of my favourites. One that has always escaped me is Radiohead though, I'd kill to see them. I did see Thom Yorke do a special appearance at Bristol with DJ Shadow though, does that count?

Metallica
Alice Cooper
Bad Religion
Killing Joke
Yngwie Malmsteen
Motorhead
Thin Lizzy (with Phil Lynott)

I saw audioslave and we didn't expect them to play anything from RATM but halfway through the set they did 'Killing in The Name' and everyone went completely mental!

It will obviously never happen but I would love to see 'The Smiths'

Who the feck is Jimmy Hendricks Colin. C'mon mate. Jimi Hendrix

Nick Drake and Woody Guthrie

Not bands obviously......

Not alive either

Not holding my breath

... and Elliott Smith. I'm litterally holding my breath, as I'm pretty sure that'll increase my chances of seeing them by quite a bit.

Almost every band I listen to.
I would go with this.

This also pretty much sums up what I'd liked to see back in the days

Yes I know it's a fake poster

Iron Maiden.

Guns n Roses. I saw them at 02 but obviously would have loved to have seen them in 92 or so.

Here you guys are wanted to see certain bands and you lot name bands I've seen. And I'm in a country that averages about one big band per year.

Have anyone been to a Motorhead gig? I'm moving to Aalborg and they are going to play there in December or something. They and Mercenary are the only real gigs there this year so I was wandering if I should splurge on it.

Bands/solo artists who've split/died that I would've liked to see:

Captain Beefheart
13th Floor Elevators
Kyuss
80's Matchbox B-Line Disaster
My Bloody Valentine
The Giraffes
Yawning Man

Bands that are still around:

High on Fire
Boris
Nick Cave
Aphex Twin
Boards of Canada

Kyuss played in Manchester recently. A mate of mine posted this on Facebook: "Just went to see Kyuss at the academy - 24 hours late!!! What a dickhead!"

Also Roky Erickson has played in London recently, I think. He announceda date in Manchester recently. Another friend of mine was incensed by the hefty £3 booking fee and £4 postage so he drove into town to pick up his ticket anticipating a great demand. He got there, collected tickets numbered 0003 and 0004 then got back to his car to find a ticket with a £40 fine. The gig was then cancelled. :(

I'd love to see the classic line-up of Man or Astro-man? They reformed recently but have only played in America.

I forgot about Kyuss Lives. I think they played everywhere on their tour except Ireland. And they're supposed to be tight, too. Even without Homme.

I had the chance to see Micheal Jackson in Manchester circa 1988...

Instead I went to see United play Everton play in the half baked and short lived "Football League centenary" cup with a crowd of about 12 000... Gordon Strachan scored the winner (with his head).

And while I didn't regret going to the match, I always wondered what it would have been like to see the 'king of pop" before his life fell apart.

For the record the best show I ever say was Guns n roses in their full pomp back in 1992... with Metalica opening up for them.

Arctic Monkeys, seeing them Oct though.

Red Hot Chili Peppers

Saw the Foo's on Sunday.

Fleet Foxes was one but saw them recently.

Radiohead.

MUM, this is the first time you've let me down, and I must say it's hugely.

Sorry Moses, but it's true.
I've seen hundreds of live acts too.....

Might have something to do with meeting them and getting Freddies tambourine too!

I LOVE Queen. :D

The gigs I remember best are probably Bob Dylan, Graham Parker and the Rumour, The Only Ones, The Clash, and Elvis Costello and the Attractions x3.

MUM, I've had a think, and me and you will be cool if we both pretend this thread never happened.

Graham Parker & the Rumour were no way a great band in the pantheon of rock 'n' roll but they put on a couple of truly great performances that I saw (one of then blowing Clapton off stage).
