Yes no surprise whatsoever. He's not going to miss the biggest game in the club's history unless he has to get his leg amputated or something equally drastic!

He should have though. He escaped a clear booking at OT.....

Great! So we can now look forward to a great battle with Keano!

Great. Even more arrogance to contend with. They are bad enough already, although one guy I work with said if ever Bayern signed that wanker he'd stop supporting them. I'm just gonna have a word with him now..........

"Bayern are going to be awesome next year with Ballack on board."

We will see. IMO (and as german I`ve been watching him for years) Ballack is not a worldclass player. He is just playing one excellent season. He won`t score half the goals next season IMO.

Tell the guy at work that they're dumping Effenberg at the same time. Does the Arrogance balance out?

As if he wasn't going to be fit.

No news on German sites that he's definitely out - just that he will have a fitness test as late as possible.

it would be a help if he is out, but not the end of the world if he isnt,
we still need at least 2 goals, jaysus im gonna be nervous tonight esp first 20 mins,

Personally I wouldn't be too pissed off if he did play and he got a heavy stamping on that dodgy foot early on ;)

deportivo style yea?

Yes man! We need to play like the cheats for one game only. Simeone, Dushcher, Almeyda, eat your hearts out (or an opponents perhaps).

This is from the Kicker

Aktueller Stand: Der Nationalspieler muss Dienstag gegen Man Utd passen.

It says that Ballack has a badly bruised foot and can hardly walk at the moment.

I saw something about a bluterguss - wtf is one of those then Jens?

haematoma or bruise according to my dictionary

Yeah

Perhaps RVN should start cheating eh?

Now now Davo, no need for bitterness mate.

Besides, your lot have been at it for a while now with your flying keepers.

It's just a bruise then. Nowt special. Kicker would have been published last night I assume and hence carries last nights news. To be honest I'll be surprised if he doesn't play. An injection or two to play through the pain. Let's face it - if they don't pull it off tonight their season will have completely gone down the toilet in the space of three days. He'll play.

Nothing bitter here Dans..

You can't name a recent list of cheats without adding your striker to it tho..

Play fairly..

I think calling hm a cheat is a little harsh. To me he appeared to trip himself up, something I believe is fairly difficult to do intentionally.

Come on Dans..

Don't try to defend the undefendable..

He dived, plain and simple..

And is thus, a cheat

I dispute that. Look at the tangle he gets himself into. That was more clumsy and ultimately unfortunate on the part of Ipswich than it was an intentional dive. The ref is at fault for giving it in the first place IMO.

He dived..

He's a cheat

There's no point debating this as you're desperate to defend your player...which is understandable

But it doesn't change what happened

Then surely Henchoz is also a cheat for all of his handballs in the box, including the two during the Charity Shield.

Yeah

The ball hitting your arm is the same as cynically diving to get a penalty isn't it?

Well, I would just end this debate on RVN in a thread about Ballack, by saying that you are thankfully not judge and jury on these matters.

Back to Ballack now......(no jsv - no message)

Just curious if you held a double standard. Thanks. ;)

Which is also true of yourself..

Its strange how the Man Utd fans appear to think that "Oh so clumsy RVN" managed to trip himself up..

Whereas the general verdict elsewhere is that he blatanly dived and is a cheat..

All these ABU's eh?

;)

Anyway, Ballack, is he injured then or what?

I never suggested otherwise did I?

Hopefully he is yes.

Whats this I read this morning about Bayer having a reputation for bottling it?

Don't like the sound of that...

And threw his hands in the air as he leapt to the ground..

Cheat

;)

They are notorious for bottling their league when they have needed the "easy" win against very average teams. I think Europe is a different ball game though. I don't expect them to bottle it tonight - it will be a tough game.

What happened then on the weekend?

Didn't they lose to some relegated outfit?

Did they play their first 11?
