Bafta Video Game Awards

Best Handheld Category, and the only ones out of the nominees i'd played were Scribblenaughts and Professor Layton.

Cut The Rope wins, it did look like it would be addictive and interesting.

The Game game award goes to Call of Duty Black Ops, i shall die of no surprise. Fair play to it though, the numbers they just dished out are mighty impressive.

I'm suprised Football Manager 2011 wasn't in the Strategy category.

Although it is included in the Sports category.

winner is Civilization V

Right Artistic Achievement now. Big One.

* Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood

* Call of Duty: Black Ops

* God of War III

* Heavy Rain

* LIMBO

* Mass Effect 2

Winner is GOD OF WAR III

Developers look genuinely chuffed, one of the looks like Kratos :smirk:

Gameplay award goes to Super Mario Galaxy 2.

A nice tidbit they just said, it was originally meant to just be some additional levels for the first game but they came up with so many levels that they created an entirely new game.

Erm F1 2010 wasn't that good once you got past the eye candy, certainly not good enough to beat the likes of GT5.

Did you play SMG? It's fantastically done and not really a surprise to me that's it won. Anyone can pick it up, play it and have fun.

Seriously ? I've always thought Mario games were very simplistic. Might need to try it out though. I haven't played a Mario game in yonks. But F1 2010 !?

It is still pretty simplistic but that's it's appeal, there's nothing too taxing but enough to keep you on your toes and catch you out. Some of the levels are fantastic fun, and you can't beat a good platformer. The other games you need some time to get to grips with the controls and with Mario a 5 year old or an 80 year old could get the hang of it within minutes.

The MP one goes to COD easily.

Story Genre Nominees:

* Alan Wake

* BioShock 2

* Call of Duty: Black Ops

* Fallout: New Vegas

* Heavy Rain

* Mass Effect 2

Well, it shouldn't have been. I know where you are coming from, but it's not connected to any sports franchise at all. It should be in a simulation category if they have one. If that was the case, then yes, it should beat F1 2010 hands down.

Not sure why they don't have a racing category tbh, how can you compare football games to racing games? Pointless.
