Back from Manchester

Had to laugh at sidsutton`s comments about Freddie and Sol!
I have been on Arsenal boards in the past and seen some really silly posts all about Sol Campbell `NOT being gay - no he can`t, he has signed for Arsenal`, etc, etc. There seems to be this notion that because Sol plays for Arsenal, he can`t be gay! (Despite his club`s name!) Where is the logic in that?
Okay, because I am a woman I am not worried by the possibility of any footballer player I like being gay apart from the obvious concern that my slim chances of getting to them have been eliminated by the fact of their gay status!

But I honestly think that if a Manchester United player was known to be gay as Sol most likely is (his act of slavering over models for the benefit of the tabloids notwithstanding), apart from the predictable jokes I don`t think most MU fans would go hysterical over it the way so many Gunner fans did on those boards, hotly protesting, just before Sol signed for them.

What do you think?
