Pitying all you northerners doomed to a life of cu
Well, what can I say? You lot were dogged and 'up for it',deserving your victory (leaving alone for a moment whether your first goal should have stood or not - these things happen, hopefully luck will equal itself out over the season).I thought it was primarily a victory based upon sound defence with O'Shea and Brown playing well (though where that leaves Rio and Blanc is an interesting question). From my point of view,it was definitely one of our most dismal performance this season. So,it at least makes for an interesting title campaign this season.Positives for us?Well, yes there are many, but I'm not too despondent today, because

a)We are still top of the league
b)Yesterday,I think will be a great motivation for many of our superstars who had probably got a little complacent.
c)We can play much better than that.We are still the best team in the Premiership and I believe we will retain our title.
d)We still have you to play at Highbury and I expect it will be a very different affair then. :)

So,enjoy the moment.....at least you now look likely to qualify for next season's CL !! :D

At least you're brave enough to show your face.

:)

Out of interest,I was sitting in with a lot of you Mancs in the South Stand/Stretford End corner close to the Sky Sports TV Box.....I'm pretty sure it was the back of Keane's head I could see with Richard Keys.Did your 'now wiser' (yeah...right!) captain have anything to say on a)His book b)Haaland c)McCarthy/Ireland??

Gillespie, one thing. Your crowd were shite, sitting in the stretty end was probably a shock for you, not used to hearing fans sing were you?.
Did u join in with the "wenger is a fecking peadophile" song then? :D
Best bit was when the whole stadium turned to Keaneo in the sky sports executive bit, and shouted "theirs only one, keaanoooo, only one keanooo"...meanwhile, u sang 2 songs in the whole match
The shitty one about Viera, and "champions, champions"

What Keane special????
Did he say anything controversial or when he's going to come back????

I know someone who is a Man Utd season ticket holder. He lets me have one of his seats .In return,I let him have one of mine at Highbury. No money changes hands. If you think the stick i get on this forum is bad, then it's nothing to what I had to put up from him yesterday!By the way,I was in the South stand ,not the Stretford end.
A non football point, you Mancs have disgusting food....from the food stalls by the ground....chips and curry sauce ?? (I kid you not)

I think it was your massive injury problems that made the difference.

1. Your Man Utd friend should be hung drawn and shot! for allowing you into our GROUND! You should have been evicted.........your friend could get into trouble for that! It is not allowed for away supporters to mingle with home........especially Aresenal.....did you not know that?

AND

2. are you not forgetting about the time we beat you 6-1 and the MAJORITY of you left the stadium well BEFORE the end!!! You do have a very short memory!

Just the sort of complacent attitude that will see us stroll off with the title :D

The positives for us is that we'll be able to field our first team at Highbury!! Ha Ha!!

I was at that match and they WERE leaving before half-time. So much for their great support.

I was also at the match last year when Arsenal effectively won the title at OT. I think too much has been made of our fans who left early. Yes, there were fans who left early. But a lot of the fans stayed on and sang our players off the pitch. And some of us stayed on and even applauded the Arsenal players off the pitch. I wonder how many Arsenal fans would have done the same if the situation was reversed?

Also, yesterday you could see Arsenal fans leaving before the end of the match. (Did you hear us singing "Cheerio" to them after the second goal?)

It just annoys me because I think United fans are an easy target and we seem to be judged by different standards from other supporters.

Glad to hear you enjoyed the cuisine as much as the match mate and also that you weren't one of the many Arse fans leaving before the end. You must have been fairly close to us if you were in the section of the South stand near the Sky box - we're in the old Stretford paddock. Were you force to join in the Keano chants for your own safety? I thought you were pretty well beaten yesterday, our midfield stuffed you and our defence kept Henry & co quiet. You were overconfident before this game and now you're a bit complacent. I've no doubt your lot are a good team and we'll both be in the mix come May. Incidently, re last years game at OT, I was one of those who stayed til the end both to applaud our team off the pitch and to acknowledge last years champions.

That's LAST years champions.

:D

A. For now
B. I doubt it, the so called superstars who, allegedly showed up to play really did a disappearing act. (re: HENRY, the thug Keown, Vieira, Berkamp to name a few)
C. Yea well you were the team that found away to lose to Southampton. So much for that undefeated season.
D. Yea, its called we'll have our first team! Amazing isn't it that without so much of our first team we still managed to beat you?

Fact is: You only have one way of playing, 442, score 1-2 goals and then counter attack, bit like us a few years back. But we realised that after 99 that we had to change the way we play, so now we have a few ways of playing: 4411, 442 and variations of 451, that has made us more succesfull in europe over the last few years.

The thing with arsenal and liverpool is that they do not like chasing leads, maybe they have a come back or two, but most of the time they can't handle it and the foriegners crack under pressure.

With United we are known for our come-backs, FC Basle was our latest example. Tottenham last year is another example.

face the truth and don't try the brave face mlarkey with us!!!!!

You support a team called ARSEnal, your manager is ARSEne Wenger, your team includes Ljungberg and Campbell(both bent as nine bob notes) so don't try and pretend you are interested in women!!

Fair go for coming on and posting mate. You have gone up in my estimation but whinging Wenger has definitely gone down after those comments he made. Don't you supporters ever get embarrassed by him. By the way I believe that your players only played as well as we allowed you apart from Henry's miss which was of his own making.
