Television Baby Reindeer (Netflix)

Watched the first 5 episodes of this last night, and finishing the final episode now.

Episode 4 was an obviously dark and difficult watch but for some reason the scene in the final episode where:

His dad let out about his upbringing in the Catholic Church and the resulting embrace

Almost hit harder.
That was a great scene given how the dad had been portrayed until then I just assumed he wouldn't accept him.

Yea 100%, I actually second guessed what I’d heard when he first said “would you think less of me” or whatever the quote was, and then followed by him going for the hug when Donny put out his hand for a handshake.

Powerful scene for sure.

The ending was so lame but overall it was pretty good.
At some point I had the feeling the director/writer would have wanted/liked the show to go ape shit and more disgusting but producers held them back.

Watched this over the weekend, normally don't watch series, but thought I'd see what all the fuss was about, what a painful pile of crap that was to sit through.

Finished this last night. I thought it started off really well but after the drug episode, it just went downhill a bit. Bit of a lame ending. Overall still a watchable mini series.

Going to watch that interview with Piers Morgan that aired a few weeks back later tonight to see what the the whole issue has been.
