It hit his head before his arm, it can't be a penalty?
Yeah, since it's deflected onto the arm the handling has to have been intentional for a penalty to be given

It was reviewed. Headed onto his hand/arm so can’t beHis handball could've been a pen but don't think it was reviewed since they scored before there was any chance for a review
I get all that, but can anyone say with certainty that things like that never get blown for handball? It's such a gray area currentlyYeah, since it's deflected onto the arm the handling has to have been intentional for a penalty to be given

Yep can agree with that. It was encouraging either way! That's true but we can't say he was "Lucky" not to have given away a penalty as he would have been "Unlucky" to have done so.
Anyway on his performance he looked good I thought, we will know more when he does make a mistake as it's how they react to adversity at this age that defines a player.

It isn't a handball by PL rules. As neville said he headed it onto his hand but if it just hit his hand straight from the cross it would have been different
Can that sort of handball actually be given though?
So should IHe should be ahead of Lindelof in the pecking order.
There was a rule change this season to stop this being a penalty.I get all that, but can anyone say with certainty that things like that never get blown for handball? It's such a gray area currently
Probably one the European refs would give against usFair enough. The way we're reffed I wouldn't be surprised if it was given though.

We talked to Bielsa, Bobb and some others and then we went through hell to get him.what's the story on how we got him?
he's an Arsenal fan right, and obviously talented for his age
how did they let him slip through the net?

More chances in a back 3 as well, especially for younger players. There was also chat that he was mostly a midfielder through the age groups, but Arsenal saw him as a CB going forward. He may/may not have agreed with this, but a big aspect of Amorim's back 3 is that they should be comfortable pushing up into midfield. It may just be the club convinced him that the role was better for him at this point in his career. Time will tell, but it does seem like he made the best choice for his own career right now.The commentator yesterday said he has only played like 10 minutes for Arsenal, against some lower cup team. We have likely promised him more first-team chances. And if you see Saliba and Gabriel playing nearly every game, you want to have many chances to prove yourself and play.
Great observation. Agree with all of this. He's potentially a monumental talent, I'm only saying that on the basis of observing Evans who for a very experienced defender looked absolutely lost when playing in the back three when Amorim first came in, his positioning was all over the place and he didn't know when to step up just outside his defensive area or when to withhold and just maintain the shape.
It's Heaven's positioning that is demonstrable of his maturity. Fundamentally he will have different tests as by the managers own admission this isn't an approach United will continue with moving forward, so we will need to assess how he looks in a higher line with yards of space behind him. But isolated against Ethan he did well and I think Martenelli was on that side and he was in his pocket (though he just came back from injury).
Didn’t catch the game, but was under the impression Lindelof had played wellProbably one the European refs would give against us
Was a midfielder and converted to a defender. Probably helpsLooks very composed, hope to see him start soon, looks physically imposing as well. Exciting prospect.
He looks to have ability on the ball as well. Promising.
