Ayden Heaven | 2024/25 Performances

His short passing needs some work but his long passes are not bad. He is pretty relaxed. Hopefully, not too relaxed though.

Very early days obviously, but he's looking like an absolute steal of a transfer.

A couple of shaky moments in the first 20 minutes but he didn't let it phase him. Can't wait to see more of him.

Looks very good for his experience. The kind of signing we never used to make.

Hard to believe he's only 18 starting in a critical Europa League match, he did really well and I hope he can continue to grow as a player because he looks like he's got it.

Very encouraging. I'm interested to see how he fares in midfield if that's really his position. Great size, mobile, decent reading of the game, composed and good on the ball. That instantly makes him on par with our other midfield options (on paper).

Was up to the challenge. Solid defensively and kept the ball well which is an improvement from the last game

That LCB slot should be his for the foreseeable. Him and Dorgu seemed to work well together as well

Him and Dorgu turned out to be a couple of shrewd January signings!

First start of his professional career. Incredible really.

Doubt he’d be getting game time if Martinez was fit, but at this rate, he’ll have a genuine challenge to get back in the team once he recovers.

First I’ve heard he’s actually a midfielder, I thought he was a defender

Agreed. We are as well as letting him and Yoro play every game in the league till the end of the season.

Very impressive today. Wanted to give him MotM but there it wouldn't be right to walk away from somebody with 3 goals. Heaven was really good, courageous, quick, assured. Liked what I saw. Good we extended with Maguire... His minutes should be Heavens

He is a presence in the box. It's what I rate the most in a CB.

Martinez's career is over at the top level I think.

Started in our biggest match of the season, aged 18, having only played about 100 minutes so far for us.

Regardless of all that he was good today. Taking all that in to account, he was brilliant

Seems the perfect profile for that left of a 3 role. An amazing find that saves us a lot of money as we attempt to build out the squad. Refreshingly excellent recruitment.

If he had hit that bicycle kick, I would have said enough football for the rest of the year.

Looks like a good signing. Him and Yoro give our defence loads of potential

I still remember McNair and Blackett and the hype they brought with them.
Heaven is really exciting though, but I am gonna stay calm for as long as I can.

But goddamn he looks good...

Calm, always looks to do something positive and in a forward thinking manner.

Really like the lad, he is 18 so there will always be a few shaky moments. But really liking the look of him, hopefully he isn't relied upon too much too soon.

I don't like to elevate players by dragging others down, but am I the only one who thinks Heaven might just be at least as big a prospect as Yoro? He looks faster, stronger and better in the air. Yoro looks even more composed and better on the ball though.

He was a midfielder and then he was moved to CB for the u16s and beyond or something like that. Probably due to him growing so tall
Interesting. Doesn’t look like a midfielder at all, although that’s a bit harsh based on 1 appearance.

As if Arsenal let him go and spent a ton on CBs. What a steal we’ve got here

Looks a top talent and we are fortunate to have him and Yoro at the club to develop together, add in Dorgu, Mainoo, Collyer, Garnacho, Amad and Hojlund who are all still young in a couple of years playing under the same manager you’d expect a very good team to develop.

Yes, I think he looks better

Yeah, but with Blackett you had the feeling he should have some attributes that he didn't - he wasn't very fast, and he just wasn't as athletic. McNair had some glaring physical deficiencies to his game. With Heaven, I had no idea what to expect, but he looks like a seasoned player with great physical attributes out there. Some minor niggles to his game, and he tries to be a bit too clever at times, but defensively he looks very assured.
