Feds forehand fell apart there. Still a legend. Particularly liked it when he had a go at the umpire for not overruling when Nole served an ace and it was called a fault. He told the umpire to pay attention and walked to the other side. Legend.
Both finals are immense and I honestly dont mind who wins either. All 4 are great young players who deserve it. Im leaning towards Maria and Nole but want Tsonga and Ana to win.

While I wanted Federer to win. I wasn't surprised when Novak won. Novak was on the role, while Federer...seemed to be struggling the whole Australian Open. I don't know if it was due to the lack of practice, no coach, lack of concentration (highly unlikely), but Federer just wasn't playing his best.
But fair play to Novak.

Novak played really well, especially in the second.

You realise Federer is still by far the best tennis player in existence, right?
It's a shame he lost, but even he's not going to be at his best the whole time. He's really struggled throughout the whole open. He lost to a great young tennis player though -- Djokovic is by far and away my favourite young player. I'll definitely be supporting him in the final; he really deserves a Slam and Tsonga's a twat.
In the women's, whilst I think Sharapova will dominate the final, I really, really want Ana to win it. She's so nice, for one thing, and she's hot, too. I remember the last final she reached she just bottled it massively, though, so she'll have to try and not do the same thing again.
So I want Djokovic and Ivanovic to win. It's the first time two Serbs have ever reached a final at the same time, no? They'll go mental there I bet if the two of them win (and Jankovic got the semi-final, didn't she?).
So come on Novak and Ana! Beat the Franco-Russians!

of course, he's been the best to play the sport (for me better than Sampras), I'm just glad the tennis has not been so one sided recently.
p.s. Zimonjic is in the mixed doubles final as well, and he lost in the men's doubles semi. and yes, everyone will go mental

I don't think anyone is debating that really.
I personally can't understand how so many people here can cheer for Federer considering he's already won 12 grand slams. I cheered for Federer back in 2001 when he beat Sampras in a 5-set match in Wimbledon 2001. Federer was the underdog in that match so as a neutral i naturally wanted him to win.
If someone had to beat Federer I am glad it is Djokovic. He seems like a cool guy, a little bit showman. And this game needs showmen. I don´t remember players joking with ball boys/girls for ages.
Well he was very touched by the moment so he had a little trouble completing sentences and he gave the impression of that he had been on a bender the night before, kind of.

Djokovic is probably our best sportsman... He has an unbelievable desire to win and he will be #1 I am sure of it. He's also got the best personality in tennis, tennis can be so boring with the likes of monotone Federer, its good to have some personality from time to time.

Agree. Couldn't believe the Aussie crowd were siding with Federer.
I was looking forward to seeing Federer getting beaten by a worthy opponent but now that it's happened I feel kinda sad. Hope we get to see a final between the two of them this year.

Good to see Djokovic beat Federer,his game is improving in leaps and bounds and can see him being the number one at some point in the future. Who would have thought the Final would be without Federer or Nadal but its good for the game and hope its a cracking match.
Thinking of watching it,Sharapova has been in top form and might just be a bit too strong for Ivanovic.
Maybe, infact probably, but hopefully Ivanovic will be able to step it up a gear and win.
