Another year, another season. I think this is going to be a very good year. New faces in the top eight, another opportunity for the Hawks to prove their greatness. I'd say we're favourites this season, and I'm interested to see who's going to challenge.

Expect exciting things from the Tigers, the Suns and the Roos.

Watching Hawks, Dons atm. Nothing better than beating these maggots.

I am also a Hawks supporter. Disappointed to lose to Geelong the other day. 4-1 is a decent start though. Hope we keep improving.

Yeah our backline was horribly undersized. Cheney had nothing on Hawkins. Still, we lost to them twice last year and won when it mattered.

Yeah obviously Lake would have saved us a few goals. It's still frustrating how poorly we seem to play against them though. Everytime we just seem to lose confidence. Especially some of the leaders. Roughead, Hodge and Rioli never seem to play well against Geelong. It'd be nice to go into the bye without dropping another game though. Have a sneaky feeling Port will get over the cats this weekend too.

Hodge had a pretty bad game, especially early on. Didn't look sharp at all. They raise their level against us, we've been a better team for a couple of years now.

Definitely. That's what annoys me most. Clearly the better side yet they raise and just pip us. Like you said though, we won the one that mattered. Hopefully that trend continues.

Nick Riewoldt is is great form and i am really going to miss him when he retires.

Agree. He's been brilliant. I have a lot of time for Nick Riewoldt. Always seems to speak well in the media and has been very loyal to his club. I was watching that mark he took a few years ago on Youtube the other day. The one where he runs back with the flight of the ball. Absolutely insane courage.

I love that mark also not to mention I am loving Luke Dunstan at the moment.

Interesting weekend. Port proving that Geelong are a bunch of game raising cnuts. That said, I think us and them are pretty solid for first and second, be interesting to see if the Power can grab third. After that is anybody's guess at this point.

Tiger's aren't all that it seems.

Richmond looked atrocious. Port looked good. Though Geelong often have a let down after they beat Hawthorn. Think Port will finish top 4, won't consider them a legit contender until they beat a good side away from home.

What's up with Freo? I expected them to be REALLY strong this season. They probably still will be but they've had a sluggish start. Walters was a pretty big loss too. Haven't had that usual defensive nous to their game though.

They overachieved last year. Lyon is good at getting positive results with his dour football. A bit like an AFL Mourinho.

 a good comparison. Pavlich, Sandilands and McPharlin are all getting on too. The Gumbleton deal doesn't seem like it was wise. It'll be interesting to see how he rejuvenates the list.

Most AFL coaches are rather dull and process driven. I'd like to see some more personality like there is in football.

Choco Williams was always a bit out there.

With the way AFL house is atm, any extra personality would probably be met with a "please explain"

True. Mark Thompson has some personality. Although he just comes across as very odd to me. I'm not sure he is playing with a full deck....

Would be surprised if anyone was at Essendon these days.

Speaking of which, massive bottle job on ANZAC day

Melbourne at home for the Crows this week. Crows by 5 or 6 IMO. Dees are still a basket case, but they did well against the Swans last week I thought, considering.

I think Adelaide by 8 or 9. Melbourne are still shocking. Walker being touted as a possible in for the Crows too, would be good to see him back. Hawks have St Kilda this week so it should be a straight forward win (no offence to St Kilda).

There's talk of Tex going to the seconds again this week for the "Showdown" (ugh!) up in Clare(!). Semi-rural area up north.

Lake and Mitchell gone for extended periods. Hopefully we can cover them. Won't matter against the average sides but against Sydney, Port and Collingwood (who seem better this season) it could hurt.

In my mind, Saturday never happened.

feck, what a joke we've become. Wouldn't be surprised with a loss to lolton at this rate

Mitchell out has kicked my supercoach team in the nuts, anyway putting last weeks massive disappointment behind me I hope we come out like a pack of raging bulls against Carlton

Yeah I'm pleased he got off. Was a complete accident. Can't have people missing games just because of an accidental collision.

I look at Jack Steven from my team and i really do think that Cleverly should be our version of him.

feck awf Richmond. Bunch o twats ;)

feck it. Bring on October and the A-League. At least that will probably end better than watching the Crows feck it up every second week
