Australia Tour of South Africa 2018/Ball tampering

I'm sure is can but I don't think they actually managed to do so. Somehow.

Worst cheating atempt ever. Eboue roll level bad.

Nah it was a very well planned effort. Aussies got the ball reversing on lush NZ wickets, they also used it to great effect in the Ashes..I've seen footage of Bancroft putting sugar in his pocket. Clearly it's widespread and systematic. Personally, it's not that big an issue and it has been blown out of all proportion, most sides bend the rules. England have been doing it for years - Atherton's 'dirt in the pocket', Fletcher's sunscreen in India, the 2005 Ashes and jelly beans...and that's just England. Anyway, I suspect they're scapegoating Warner to save Smith's career and also the bowlers'. Warner is a quality player but he's also widely disliked. I have to say the Aussies have come across like school girls - crying?? Crying?? Well tough aren't they.

When Sean Marsh is your best batsmen you're in trouble.

They're going to be very reliant on their bowling to do most of the damage until Smith returns.

Australia are finding it tough to compete when they have to follow the same rules as everyone else

Their batting lineup is woeful without Smith and Warner. Its been like this since Clarkes purple patch ended in 2012, and the likes of Hussey and Ponting retired.

Yeah, no doubt they'll adapt eventually. I'm sure for the Aussies it's just a case of getting this tour behind them and they'l regroup and be better in the future

Is there a reason they’ve not declared?? 546 runs ahead!

The South African bowling attack is shattered. Only Maharaj is fully fit.

Big fan of Umpire Llong deciding that hiding your bat half-arsedly behind your pad is not playing a shot.

Just seen that - great decision. Shit effort to pretend to play a shot. Glad they lost a review on it too.

Australia go from 88-3 to 111-9.

Philander with 6 wickets.

South Africa on the verge.

 well that escalated quickly....

A humbling tour for Australia on & off the field. Well done SA!

One of the most tumultuous series is over and congratulations to South Africa who are worthy winners. A tour that started memorably has ended dismally from an Aussie perspective. South Africa got better as Australia struggled as the series went on. Rabada and Markram are two stars who'll be the scourge of Australia for a fair period of time just as Pat Cummins will be a star for Australia.

While some unsavory and unacceptable things happened on both sides, the rivalry these two have on the cricket field feels like it's getting bigger and bigger. Shame the even rivalry Australia and South Africa have on the rugby field isn't as significant as the cricket rivalry.

A new coach will come in due course, my preference is Jason Gillespie but Sussex and loyalty to them may come into play on Dizzy's part. Tim Paine will remain captain. I like the pre match handshake, i hope they continue with it with both teams taking turns to initiate the handshake before the start of each test.

I will say though that copying New Zealand's nice guy approach is a case of be careful what you wish for. The Aussie public will struggle to warm to a team that is very nice but not very successful.
