Not sure if we're at this point yet but it's looking like we're reaching a stage where we have to spend so much of our budget on these packs that there'll be little room to make up the deficit against those that strike gold with the player they get from their loot box.

Personally I wouldn't be opposed to just binning this round and either banning all or most of the loot box players, or lobbing them all on the list at 100m starting price. Not meaning to start an insurrection here @2mufc0 , just not sure that this is going to plan.

If you don't want the pack you win you can sell it back to the bank at a discounted rate as per the rules.

:D Point taken to an extent, but if we have to end up with a box anyway then we basically have to keep bidding to a) have any choice whatsoever as to who we end up with and more importantly b) stop the next guy from getting a box for 30-40 less and having a big advantage in the auction proper.

The whole point of the loot box is that it's a gamble in the end. And if you get a Maradona or a Beckenbauer the 100m spent is great value in the grand scheme of things, as in previous drafts the 100m were their starting prices for these players.

And no one will get a box for 30-40m less, the rules state the box will revert to the bid it was before the winning bid (I put this in specifically to stop what you are worried about in point B) .

And yes you can sell back any player you win but keep in mind the fee.

Think it would be better to refrain from scattergun bids on multiple packs at this stage. I used to do them myself at the beginning, but realized they only make several managers "homeless" who then have to outbid you and those with lower bids again. So you'll lose these packs anyway, and the result will be the same as before, only at a higher price level.

Logically, with 14 packs and 14 managers, the only way bids can succeed is when every manager is settled on one pack and has no incentive to hijack other bids. The whole thing needs to settle down at some point.

Tbh my plan so far is as scattered as my bids as I’m getting used to the rules and picks so far :lol:

Tbh I think prices are pretty good so far so no surprises.

What happens if we don’t have a pool?
