Young for me would be an ideal signing, he is quick direct and can deliver. He also showed in both games against us a real desire and work rate. He is at the right age and could play either wing, left of a front 3 or just behind the striker.

As for sanchez, with no prem league experience it would be a gamble, i think he would also cost more than Young given the rent boys and city showing interest as of late.No doubting the guy is a class act but i would just give young the edge.

I hope we go for Ashley Young in the summer.

Im not a fan of Young, too many off days.

Should be a lot more consistent for 25, I know he hit the bar against us and im sure somebody will come in with an assists stat for him, which is great, but Downing looked a better player the other night.

I haven't seen all that much of Sanchez but from what I have seen it would have to be him over Young, Young is a bit too inconsistant for me

I'd much rather have the 22 year old that tore Inter Milan a new one than the 25 year old that doesn't even play on the wings anymore.

So does Sanchez. He's playing upfront.

Not a fan of Young, solid player but not spectacular or talented enough for United.

Sanchez, everyday of the week and twice on Sundays. He has that touch of class that Young doesn't ... and is much more creative.

I think Young has regressed big time the last 2 years.

To be fair its the team around him that has regressed, i.e. Carew being past it, loss of Milner and Barry before that. It's just I think he can't get any better than he already is, whereas Sanchez looks like he could go to do big things in football with abit of luck, right application.

Gonna be honest and say I've not seen that much of Sanchez but everyone seems to rave about him on here.

Is he that good?

Young's decent, Sanchez is good with potential to be amazing. With Young you know what you get because he's played he and done well, Sanchez on the other hand hasn't so you cannot be sure he will be as good in PL as he is in Serie A. I'd rather get a brand new model of Ferrari that no one has ever seen because it will likely turn out to be pretty and fast anyway, than a mere Volkswagen.

Don't see how anyone could debate that it should be Sanchez. He'd probably be fecking cheaper than Young seeing as he's not English.

Sanchez if Valencia is not in top condition by the summer. If he's somehow back to his best, neither

I don't think Valencia not being at his best for the remainder of this season would have any effect on our transfer policy, we could use a winger anyway and you just know Valencia's going to come good anyway. Players do come back from injuries and retain their form eventually most of the time.

Players in Valencia's situation have often taken a year or so to get the sharpness and conditioning back. Even if he was somehow playing good stuff when he came back, it could take a long time for him to be putting in more than hour long shifts and so on. Its possible that by the start of next season he's in best condition, but its just as likely to be a long process and if we're not going to see him at his best till next Jan, then it's possible we could bring another player who can play on the wing in.

If we can get Young for £8m or less than possibly otherwise Sanchez always even for £20m.

I don't like Young. He would be a 4th choice winger behind Giggs, Valencia and Nani. And even when Giggs retires I don't think he would be capable of challenging the other two. We already have Park who is a good squad player in wide areas and youngsters who should be the same soon. I'd rather us sign a young player who can straight away challenge for a starting place.

5th actually. Park would be used more than him.

That's a possibility. But I think at home Young would be a better alternative. So at best 4th choice. Can't see him giving Valencia or Nani too many sleepless nights over their places. Whatever I hear about Sanchez seems to suggest he's someone who has the ability to. Not seen enough of him,.

Nah, I think Young's better than Park.

Sanchez is the better player but Young is better than people are giving him credit for.

I also worry how Sanchez would cope with the more physical nature of the game. He's not built like Nani or Ronaldo is he?

Seen very little of him but he seems stronger than Young.

He's pretty strong tbf, can easily match Nani's strength if given time.

He cost Villa almost £10m 4 years ago when he had only played half a season in the premier league.
Sine then he's been one of their best players; scored or assisited 93 goals in 171 games and been capped 11 times for England.

They will want well over £15m for him.

Has everyone seen Sanchez play so much or are they basing this upon his name/nationality/reputation on the caf/youtube/FM/length of his thread ?

Or does everyone simply think Young isn't really good and Sanchez just must be better?

Not sure about Sanchez...in the sense I rarely watched him play. As for Young, I honestly think that he s not MU material atm.

And please do not compare him to Park who although may play in the same position he s a different type of player. Park is less skilful than young but does more than his fair share of work.

The United player whose style is similar most to Young's is Nani imo, who is younger and better than the Villa wide man.

sanchez. younger than young and won't be as overpriced since young is british.

Its too late to get Sanchez at a reasonable price. Inter, Chelsea and Shitty are already cicling around this talent.

We continue to be link with Sanchez, i have not seen a lot of him but he seems to be rated pretty high
