He's normally a fair bit better when he's on the left, but it really didn't work against Newcastle.
This/.Did well today, couldn't do much about the goal after Rojo's idiocy.
Honestly, I can't even bother giving him a hard time anymore. He's a 34-year-old, winger turned fullback, starting important games and it's the club's fault that he's not been replaced by a more capable player.

No point complaining about him anymore, this was the usual performance from him. This will probably be his last season, especially now that we are introducing Williams in the first team.
Still, I have to say I am impressed that he is rarely injured, I will give him that. So when Shaw is injured as always, we at least have Young to slot in there. Not the best option, but better than putting Rojo there.
Wild guess here, but i think Williams might be a regular by the end of the season. Young is too old and Shaw is injured for 3/4 of the season
It may be my own lack of judgement but I’ve always thought he struggles to defend the back post when playing at RB but seems a bit more aware of where he should be when he’s at LB.For a back up full back, I doubt there is better in the league.
He should be AWB's back up. Williams should be Shaw's back up.
Done well for the 3rd goal but Max Aarons had him on toast the entire game. Williams is a far better option than him.
He’s fine as a backup, but where the hell is Shaw? Can’t blame the reserve left back for having to play every single game. It’s ridiculous at this point.
Xhaka’s incident shows how truly professional this guy is as our captain.

There was no questioning his professionalism, during the game he was moving players away from the ref.
Does it outweigh his lack of ability, I remember when he started at the club he was lacking then and now he's a liability sadly.
If you look at the Liverpool game Robson really struggled on the right, can you say the same for Trent Alexander?
I think Young is becoming like an agenda of others. There is no quote in my post talking about his ability, I was just talking about his professionalism. But somehow you replied my post to bring up his lack of ability. I don't disagree with you but there is no reason for you to bring up his lack of ability into my post.
