Dr. Dwayne
Self proclaimed tagline king.
Hope that was his Gary Neville moment.
Please never play for this club again.

People are way over the top due to a silly error. Young is a warrior with great mentality though so he will bounce back. Getting slower with age though so hopefully he is replaced in the future.
Young's bound to have another honeymoon period for us next season against crappy cannon fodder. Thus being rewarded with another one year deal.
Aslong as the Glaziers dont put their hands in their pockets everything will continue to be hunky-dory for 'Captain Bird-shit' Ashley Young.
He's 33, I think next season will be his last especially if United sign another RB. I don't understand United fans still making digs at him over that bird shit though, it happened aeons ago and he got it enough from opposition fans. Let it go . Young needs to leave but he's been a great servant and is one of the most loyal players to this club.

With the money he's on it's quite easy to be 'loyal'.
Oh yea, him being loyal is really something, nobody offers money to buy you, nobody offers bigger wages to test your loyalty.
Sure, but he reportedly took a pay cut in 2015 and offered to take another and even more substantial cut for his current deal. He supposedly makes 10k less a week currently than he did when he first signed back in 2011. You might say he only did that because he knows how fortunate he is to be at United or something similar but its rare to see that these days. Fellaini held United to ransom over wages, so is fan favorite Herrera supposedly atm.
This a 1000 times. If people want to point fingers over wasted money, then point them at Woodward. Ashley's just being used as a scapegoat for everything at the moment.
He's been both connecting with fans (in the stands), loves the club, has taken cuts and even though he's not performing at the moment, he really just tries his best (incoming predictable shitpost-reply on this in 3..2.), so its really disgusting to see all of these insane witchhunt reactions on here.

I thought you were kidding at first and searched for white text?
It's easy to appear loyal when you are a crap player that no other big club will ever be interested in and if you leave you will probably end at West Ham or Watford.
How people defended this guys performances I will never now.
Our fans are blinded to players who stick around and show loyalty to the club. What they don't realise is they are loyal to us as their other options are playing for West Ham.
Ending up at West Ham or Watford is better than say a certain former and totally shit player who held the club hostage for exorbitant wages and ended up in China, two years younger than Young.

Hostage.
That made me laugh a lot because of how nonsense it was. Thanks.
Fellaini thinking he was pivotal to United and asking for unrealistic wages was nonsense. Thank heavens the pretender is gone. I have time for a loyal player like Young. Next season should be his last
You can have all the time in the world. It means feck all when it comes to the nonsense of him being loyal. He's just a crap player that knows his future post United will be at midtable or bottom clubs while United keep awarding mediocrity with starting lineup position and new contracts so he prefers to stay. Clubs aren't knocking on the door asking for his services while he keeps refusing offers for his love for the club. Your definition of loyalty is nonsense. Getting Fellaini into the topic is just you having nothing to say.
Bringing Fellaini in is just me exposing your double standards since it appears from what you've written on this forum that the man was infallible to you. What better visible way, all knowing one, can a player express his loyalty than not asking for more money and taking a pay cut? What are your metrics for loyalty? For me the broad understanding of the word in football is sticking to one club for as long as possible and I don't see why the quality of the player should matter. Enlighten me though.
Keep bringing Fellaini in. It just proves you have nothing to say to boost your claim about Young being loyal so you have to shift the discussion to other directions. Lame discussion strategy that's not the first time I have seen anyway. No one has said Fellaini is loyal to United or supposed to be loyal.
Sticking to a big club because you are a crap player that no other club is interested in and your future post that big club will be at a midtable or bottom one where no one will ever talk about you again isn't called loyalty.
Loyalty is if you are a big player wanted by big clubs everywhere and if you decide to leave now numerous big clubs will move for you but you decide to stick with your own club because you are attached to it.
No one has been knocking on Young's door and asking him for his service and refused for United. The reality is, no other big club in the world will ever want someone like Young in their team thus he has to choose between either staying at a big club and taking his big salary per week while still being relevant or moving to an irrelevant midtable or bottom club with a massive pay cut and becoming irrelevant. Hardly a difficult choice isn't it.
By your definition of loyalty that it's just sticking around for long term whatever the causes, almost all crap players at every big team will be considered "loyal".
So you're incapable of being loyal at all if you're not a big player or if some fan on a forum like yourself considers you crap? Got it. How many 'crap' starting 11 players have taken pay cuts to stay at big clubs? What a short sighted view you have
Barring the period after Valencia's legs fell off, there is simply no comparison between the two. Valencia was actually a quality footballer for Manchester United. Even at RB you could argue he was at the very least pretty good. Ashley Young has always been a misfit for me and nowhere near the required level. One of those I genuinely dont know how he plays regularly for us. At times he has put in good displays by sheer effort, energy and pace. But all in all, his ability and intelligence is mid table level. I think we've made a mistake to extend his contract and will regret it as he continues to start and disappoint. And of course yell at others as if he's John Terry.Young reminds me why I liked Valencia. Valencia was actually very good at bringing the ball out from the back. He was a very good short passer and could drive forward with the ball, even if it meant him stopping and passing backwards, we at least kept the ball. Young just hoofs it every time.
