Arse FAM TV

In some ways I feel AFTV has gone past it's peak. I feel it was somewhere in thd Wenger era. While it hasn't declined much I think we've seen the best of it.

The change in format to live watchalong has breathed new life into the channel. The interviews are far less reactionary these days because they take place a while after the game and don't produce the same kind of emotion as they did before.

What I think could happen is that if Arteta continues and DT doubles down on his Arteta in belief then I think we might see the others turn on him while he gets more aggressive.

DT v Lee fight soon perhaps.
It did get stale and kind of boring even when they kept losing but the watchalong is the best thing to happen. I didn't even watch their game last night, just watched that instead. Far more entertaining, like an actual Soap Opera. It's like Gogglebox on crack.

It would be pretty fitting if Arsenal got relegated. They really do deserve it tbh.

There's a lot of rewriting of history with Wenger, he was crap the last few years and the fact they've somehow got even worse shouldn't distract from that.

Every single one of Arsenal's rivals supporter's were chanting that they wanted Wenger to stay, there was a reason for that.

As funny as Wenger out was, the man did not deserve that level of disrespect. AFTV is synonymous with digital era fans.
100% agree.

His last season was the only time he failed to finish within the top 4(Which is now seen as cause for celebration with clubs like Chelsea & United). He also still managed to bag a couple of FA Cups(Plus his teams at times played some incredible football).

I get why Arsenal fans wanted him gone but he was only really ''past it'' when compared to the likes of Fergie and Chelsea and City under their billionaire owners.

He was tactically naive which you could argue cost them the title in 2014 and possibly 2016 aswell and his recruitment was beyond shocking (most of the deadwood they can't clear because of their wages are his signings), he made the same errors time and again for years not only tactically as i touched on above but also refusing to rectify glaring weaknesses in the team (to my sheer amusement especially when Drogba and then Diego Costa kept feasting on such incompetent squad building). He was even losing his touch with youth development which was suppose to be his biggest strength, Gnabry slipped through the net while Ox, Walcott, Ramsey, Gibbs, Belerin etc stagnanted under his watch and didn't get remotely close to furfilling their early promise.

He may not have plummeted Arsenal to these depths himself but he sure as hell has contributed.

I honestly reckon last night was the best night in AFTV (and related) history. Ive got a feeling it's only going to get better too.

No chance, the Wenger days will never be beaten. That was peak AFTV

He reminds me of that Indian Chelsea fan who tried to become viral by posting manufactured rants.

Tried? Angry Rantman has 305K subs on youtube, 76k on IG. Whatever he did, it succeeded in amassing a large following.

Not idea why people still find him funny though, I might have laughed at the first few videos but it's been years and it's literally the same character/act in every single video.

I stopped paying attention to him since his early videos so I wasn't aware he was that successful. His whole act is contrived and I didn't believe it for a second.

With AFTV I genuinely believe they are angry.

Didn't Keane say he "didn't think" they'd get relegated though.
So it's a strange argument to get into anyway.

Yeah he probably did but that Arsenal merchandise wearing clown wasn't listening properly, maybe he needs to take those daft headphones off for once then he might actually have heard what was said

Don't question his fanbase :)

The watchalong has revived it somewhat
Also I will add that todays live stream with DT sulking and Robbie having a go at him will keep giving as a gift

He's talking as if pisstaking in football has ever been rational

Arteta needs a miracle to happen to turn things around. Like Ty forgetting to carry his headset or Arsenal water bottle.

Edit: it's not water, caprisun more likely

I dunno man.

No amount of money can can determine a players reaction to social media criticism. They are still humans after all.

The amount of exposure these players get are on another scale. They will be walking around London, filling up their cars with petrol whilst getting filmed.. humiliated and shouted at constantly because of their performances on the pitch. Money doesn't patch that up.
Money patch that all up and then some.
This players live in completely different dimension to the rest of us. And it comes with a price. As long as it isn't paid with blood, it only occupational hazard.

If you suck this hard at work and get paid that much, you probably get backtalked at the pantry as well. Its all relative.

I was about to say something similar. The anger and constant fights between the likes of Claud and Ty were just amazing.

It felt more 'natural' then. They knew they were popular but now the whole thing feels 'staged'.

It's like all successful reality shows, they become more scripted as time goes on or at least forced. DT and co know what makes them popular so play up to it

There's no way Ty is real. He must be a character, he's roleplaying. He has always been positive for as long as i can remember.

He has Asperger’s syndrome apparently.

As funny as it can be, a lot of these characters seem to have some serious issues. The whole thing seems quite exploitative really.
