Archie Gray | Signs for Spurs

I know next to nothing about him but he sounds like he's a sure thing from what people say.

Spurs have a really solid group of youth players with this, Mikey Moore, Lucas Bergvall and Luca Vuskovic.

Very surprised they chose to sell him over other players.

Seemingly the Gray deal will cover Leeds from a PSR point of view and provide enough cash now to meet their obligations on transfer installments due on some of the horrific purchases of the last few years in the PL.

Need to sell further to make new signings so that's the like of Gnonto and/or Summerville.

He apparently had a clause that became active after they didn't get promoted.
 Leeds love their clauses. That's the reason we have been able to get Harrison for two seasons for no loan fee.

and the reason they had to pay Jean-Kevin Augustin £25m on top of the £15m they had to pay Leipzig

I don't think they have any other academy kids that would sell for £40mil.

They don't but they are also stacked with attacking talent and could probably get decent money for two or three of them.

Looks a great deal for Spurs.. Rodon’s value can’t be worth more than £10-15m

Seems cheap given Gray’s flexibility and potential.

I only watched one game and he didn't really impress me but he is very young. Presumably people see him as having similar sort of potential to Rice do they?

Never seen this kid play. Seems to be getting hyped up to the max though.

It’s the division below the Prem, so the usual caveats apply, but he was genuinely outstanding in both matches against Ipswich last season. He looked like I remember a young Kieron Dyer when he played for Ipswich as a teenager: just very obviously too good for the league in which he was playing.

Spurs hijack a player that was going to Brentford? If he was that hyped wouldnt he be going to City, Liverpool, Chelsea, etc?

Leeds wanted Rodon so told the lad he had to go to Spurs after completing a medical with Brentford and a deal pretty much being done. I doubt the player is too fussed probably on better wages at Spurs but maybe won't get the same game time he would have got but you never know.

Confirmed by Spurs.

Should be a very good signing for them. Looks like a young Rice. Spurs have a lot of CMs so it'll be interesting to see how much he plays and who the 3 or 4 most used players will be. Hojbjerg would seem to be on his way out but was great against England for Denmark

Hopefully it works out better for him at spurs than Sessegnon and Spence did .
