Television Anyone recommend me any TV Shows?

I've just started Shrinking on Apple TV. Fantastic show. Perfect comfort telly.

Silo season 2 is also excellent. Apple be killing it right now.

Just finished True Detective season 1... It was fine, good even. No idea why it's ranked as one of the best seasons of television ever though. Doesn't come close to prime game of thrones, breaking bad or season 1 of Fargo for me.

I found the interpersonal stuff with Rust and Marty much more interesting than the actual plot of solving the mystery which was incredibly underwhelming.
So funny that you phone auto-corrected something into "season 1 of Fargo". Your phone must be the stupidest phone on planet earth.

Landman. Another Taylor Sheridan show. Billy Bob Thornton in the lead. Maybe my favorite one. Potential in my opinion to be better than Yellowstone. Character driven but a lot of interesting themes raised. Almost wish I waited until S1 was complete before binging this on a plane.

Quite a good series.

Oooooh I love me some BBT. Will check this out tonight

We Are Lady Parts. Saw this mentioned on a couple of "Best shows of the year" list so thought would check it out. Have seen a couple of episodes so far and I didn't hat it at all. Found it to be a bit quirky and funny. It's based in England and is a about an all girls (who are Muslim) punk band.

PS: The show doesn't deal with any overt Islamophobia in small country England and I don't know when it does "Kick-in". So, it may disappoint some.

Seen four episodes so far and I've really enjoyed it. Definitely a lot better than how Yellowstone was ending simultaneously.

We enjoyed this show. Preferred S1 but S2 was still ok.

Anyone watching The Agency? Apparently an adaption of The Bureau, the French show. The latter remains one of the best shows I've ever seen so wondering how this one fares.

Just finished 100 Years of Solitude. They've had to tone a few things down from the book but it's absolutely brilliant. The story speaks for itself, the production, acting and cinematography are first class.

This is good to hear! One of my favourite books, really curious how they bring it together on screen. I'll have to check it out.

It's particularly good at blending the weird ethereal elements with reality. I honestly thought it would be a disaster given Netflix's penchant for focus group led production but it's absolutely wonderful. I'm going straight into a second viewing. I watched the English dubbed version first and now onto the Spanish.

just started watching Based On A True Story, a murder/podcasty type show

clearly an Only Murders in the Building rip-off, and quite watchable but not nearly as good

EDIT: got to the 3rd episode and yeah this is just shite actually

Wife wanted to rewatch Everybody Loves Raymond. We're midway through season 3, it has not aged well. I don't understand how it was ever popular in the first place.

Every episode is based on three continuously running jokes. Ray wants sex and doesn't get it. Frank hates his wife. Robert is jealous.

Roberts jealousy is mildly funny. He's probably the only good actor in the show. The rest is boomer humour.

We should probably stop, but there's a curiosity to it. Surely it's gets better? Surely it can't get any worse?

Billy Bob Thornton elevates Landman from republican fantasy drivel to high entertaining hill billy soap opera it's fantastic

Just saw the first episode of The Madness on Netflix. Quite enjoyed it.

Ah yes, I really liked it too! I thought it lost a little bit quality four or five eps in, but still a good watch. Domingo was awesome.

Landman on Paramount is brilliant. Billy Bob Thornton is very good in it, has Demi Moore but she’s just a cameo more than anything else.

Just finished season 2 of Lioness - it is excellent and they really know how,to ramp the tension up.

Last season of The Dragon Prince is out on Netflix. Went downhill after from season 4 on wards but watching just to finish it.

Somebody Feed Phil on Netflix is a food show about the creator and head writer of Raymond. Great little show but you can see how his humor that works supremely well in casual 1v1 human interactions turns formulaic and simple in a network show.

Great show which I highly recommend for people remotely interested in food or happiness.

Yup, really enjoying it and one of the first shows I look forward to every week. I'm not really sure this show will have the legs to become another Yellowstone in terms of multiple universes and seasons but I do think it could be a great two season show.

I'm pretty much watching it for him only!

Gave Yellowstone a go because of Landman but I can't get into it. I think it lacks a central character like Billy Bobs to make me give a feck I gave up after 3 episodes

Hmmm. I didn't enjoy the book at all so I'm thinking that I should skip this one.

One of the best travel-food shows that there is. It's a show that makes you happy. Love Phil's quirkiness and idiosyncrasies, he has his own unique style. The banter with his bother is fun and the last segment with Helen and Max is heartwarming. Love it.

A lot of love for Somebody Feed Phil here too. The missus and me are hooked on it. It's definitely a feel good show.

The Madness on Netflix is fantastic.

It's okay, but I felt the pacing was weird. Feels like there's at least one scene missing for every two or three shown.

Muncie is somehow completely elusive, yet is always readily available, visiting all the places he's most likely to.
