Television Any Prison Break fans?

I actually thought season 5 was better than 4. I'd rank 'em

1
2
5
3
4

Season 4 was shite, Michael Rapaport is like a more annoying version of James Corden.

TBf S04 started off pretty well. However, they messed that up after a few episodes

Season 3 was the one I didn't like, so much so I binged it in a day just to get it out of the way. The series was shortened due to the Writer's Guild strike and things progressed too quickly as a result.

Apart from that it was my all time favourite box set, wish I could wipe that part of my memory just to be able to watch it again (can't watch things I've already seen).
I think nothing that happened in that could be used longterm, whether it was stories or characters.
If you skip from s2 to s4 (and imagine them going into prison them coming straight out), you really do not miss anything relevant.

Anyone have any suggestions on another show to watch?

finished SOA and prison break and loved Both and now I need another show to be engaged in:wenger:

He still had the best rant when he called Gretchens whole family whores.

I remember that. He had to have adlibbed that going by the expressions of everyone else and it's very much a Rappaport rant anyway

Seriously man, first season is the best Tv ever produced. Please watch it from the beginning
Agreed. Till this day, even shows like Breaking Bad, Sopranos which are obviously superior to Pb overall they still don’t hit the gripping factor of Prison Break season 1.

Everytime this gets bumped I'm tempted to watch it again, for probably the 7th or 8th time... Season 1 that is. I always tend to give up after that masterpiece

Garnacho visiting Joliet! Dominic Purcell aka Lincoln in the comments as well

Loved this show. I know it falls off a cliff after season 2 but by then, I was already in love with the characters.

I'm very sentimental about this series. I still really like season 3 at the Panamania prison. It was a nice changeup, it put them back into what worked best with them, which is containment.

I think it also suffered from the writers strike at the time.

Yeah, me too. Obviously it declines after S2, but still fecking brilliant. I really liked 5 as well! I thought that was better than 4.

Oh for sure. It helps that the show is conceptually brilliant. If something has a strong concept, I'll watch it til the end because it has novelty value. But yeah, characters are so great. Michael Rappaport is always go.

Funny story. I’m not sure if I ever said this on here. I met a guy through a friend of mine, they were working at a hotel together on nights. I used to pop in for a quiet pint the odd time when I knew they’d be on. Anyway the fella my friend introduced me to was the step brother of the main dude off prison break. I think he’s married to Miley Cyrus’s sister or mother or something? He was saying they all used to hang out loads in Hollywood and got on great but I saw there’s some drama there since. I haven’t seen him for ages now but he was In their wedding pictures and stuff. Mad enough. I’ve never seen the show!

I think objectively S3 is a step down from S1&2 but I did still enjoy it on a personal level.

Watching Mahone spend half a season looking for a marker and Linc trying to use his brain to break Michael free was just

Yeah, that's Dominic Purcell - plays the main character's brother. He's married to Miley's mother.

Agreed

I also thought Sona was a bit of a let down, especially as the ending of S2 built it up to this absolute hell hole. I get that network TV can't go all HBO in terms of how graphical they are etc but I thought Sona ended up being pretty lame. I also remember the following promo hyping it up:

Yeah the end of S2 made it look like Sona will involve Michael getting bummed on the daily, especially when you see Bellick lying naked on the floor... but once the season started, it was all very civilised.

Season 3 was great bar that woman that couldn't act. The actual escape was a bit dumb though they basically rolled under some trucks

Can't remember which season it was - 3 or 4 but the head in the box and follow up destroyed the whole program for ever more.

The first season is really special, peak suspense television right there. Second seasons is still, despite a few dud episodes, very, very good until it falls apart in the last four episodes or so (from the episode Sweet Caroline I think it is). Then it's basically all down from there. They still manage to get the suspense going, but it just gets more and more ridiculous as it goes along. The revival season is the worst one in terms of this. Had they just kept it to two seasons, it would be one of my favorite shows.

This show ❤️.

Funnily enough I've literally within the last couple of days finished yet another rerun through of the entire first four seasons (starting season five tonight!.

So when I saw this thread was bumped I was hoping they had announced a comeback!

It definitely had ups and downs but the first series was fantastic.

I don't really think its downs were too bad, I still stuck with it - perhaps in hindsight season four was probably a few episodes longer than it needed to be.

Watching Bellick flopping around in Sona wearing a nappy looking like the most pathetic man ever was gold.
