Antony | On loan to Real Betis

He'll probably look a bit better in a different league. Not sure how good he'll look in Spain. I think a move back to the Netherlands would have been more preferable for him. Even Germany might be an option. Anywhere but here, basically.

Wish him the best and I recently came across the info about his salary being £140k when the club is in CL and £105k when not in CL which is surprising because alot of reports mentioned he was on 200k, it made sense why Betis was able to loan him and pay 84% of his salary, I think when I saw the news I was surprised that Betis would pay 170k weekly which is too much for a club like them.

Good luck to him. We overpaid for an average player, not his fault.
We paid for an average player, but what we ended up with was a basically useless player.

He regressed badly over 2 years, and without knowing all the ins and outs, it's hard not to put the blame at least mostly with him.

We haven't let Rashford off the hook, I don't think Antony deserves to be either. Good luck to him all the same, but good riddance

I remember seeing Jaap Stam doing some punditry and he was asked what he thought of Antony. He wasn’t complementary, surprised by the fee we’d paid. That’s someone who knows the Dutch league. Not sure why ETH thought he’d be any better in a much tougher league.

Been saying since we signed him that everyone involved in this transfer should have lost their job, and for the most part it’s seems like they have. Terrible from start to finish, and to think he could have been Barcelona’s problem.
