If Dalot is a first stage Pokemon then he is the evolution.

Anyone else just not give a shit about signing interviews? Like they all say the exact same things. I find it all a bit pointless.

I think it’s the questions being asked is what makes it so cringe and unwatchable.

Antony will certainly put bums on seats. He reminds me of a young Ryan Giggs in a way. His skill set and raw pace are frightening. Exciting to watch, fits well with the type of exciting players that have made this club great.
However, his efficiency & scoring needs to improve to justify his price tag. At this moment I would have put him in a 50-60M bracket, no doubt United have overpaid. On the other hand 85M might prove to be a bargain because he’s very talented with room to improve & develop. He’ll be a fan’s favorite I’m sure.

 I love Erik. His face looks like a bit like how South Park used to depict Canadians.

Edit: Can't decide if he reminds me more of Terrance or Phillip

Definitely Phillip.

Nice video. I'm glad it's all over and I can go back to respecting Ajax for being a great club.

It's clear he was very loved at Ajax and i'm sure he will be very popular here too.

Mint video. And same, really like Ajax. And love the Dutch international sides too, love the way they tend to play football and the big Oranje support at tournaments.

Why did you dis-respect them to start with? With one of greats running it, that itself would have been disrespectful. It was always about business.

Barca on the other hand....

He's got the exact type of attitude I love in United players and the fact that ETH trusts him so much speaks wonders, ry hopes he kicks on for us. Feel like he'll end up being a massive fan favorite

It's so archaic and uncreative. If I had an influence on our marketing dept I'd work on brand partnerships and influencers to make it more interesting. For example, we could get Antony to sample and rate his favourite local food, take part in challenges, chat while doing a scenic boat tour, fishing, thrill rides etc. So many brand collaboration and sponsorship opportunities with minimal disruption to the football side, while getting the PR spin disseminated.

This ought to be a reminder to his fellow-Portuguese speaking team-mate. ;)er.

I was just getting annoyed with their overly cocky manager, their refusal to sell a player that was clearly desperate to leave for an insane fee, and some of the fans being a bit silly thinking Ajax are above us in the pecking order.

I get nobody wants to lose their best players, but it's just the circle of life in football. Antony was never going to stay there all his life.

Taking Antony on a barge on Salford Quays is very Alan Partridge’s dictaphone.

Some really humbling words. His determination to join us is quite something.

He has the character and personality to take the #7 shirt once Ronaldo leaves.

So amazing to read this. When we have our most famous player trying to leave all summer, it's nice to hear there are players still desperate to play for the club.

I'm really happy to we got the deal done, Ajax I think will be too. He would have been crushed if it didn't work out.

His bedding in period should be far smoother thanks to the Brazilian and Portuguese speaking contingent already at the club. I hope he hits the ground running to avoid any pressure that comes with the price tag.

So excited for this signing.

Having a genuine, out-and-out right-winger gives us more options in regards to tactics too, particularly with Casemiro here as well.

You have the option of sticking with a fluid 433, but we can also field legitimate 442/diamond formations.

I felt bad for the Ajax manager -- it was quite revealing. Like a Rangnick sort of revelation -- both were whinging and came across as defensive and impotent.

He definitely doesn't have the power within the organisation as ETH did.

We will at least save quite a bit of money in chartering the private jets in getting them back for our weekend matches.

Burn that number right now. Its more cursed than Paris catacombs.
