Well that and if we don't make top 4 we lose the adidas money + another year of CL revenue that literally pays for Antony by itself.

We always have a habit of doing this when we drop out of the top 4.
Thats true and adidas money is a good point. Around £75mil lost if we miss out on CL from adidas alone.

So in short you don't care but still care enough to post about it on caf. Ok.

Well yeah I cared about it just enough to write a throwaway one line reply to a poster.

The following replies to you were really more about the influence a relative "nobody" can have over an audience by mixing a service (translation from reputable sources, team news, match updates) with their own opinion (like Goldbridge), how the more controversial/ divisive the opinion is it usually results in more engagements (which I see and understand but don't participate in) , how once the account recognizes that they engage in that behaviour more frequently and my feelings on accounts like that.

I'd be surprised if his/ her engagements aren't at an all time high with the all the recent posts.

I do find care about the wider conversation/ find it interesting but not really the account in question but that's probably for another thread.

I'm loving the shithousing core we're building in the team - Martinez, Casemiro (is he a bit of a shithouse?), Bruno and now Antony.

Who are the biggest cnuts that play RB/CF and also happen to be very good and not racist?

I like the big money signings we have made this summer but have been obscenely ripped off in all 3 of them. Martinez by €15m, Casemiro by €20m and Antony by €30-40m.

He might potentially be the best brazillian we ever had. I just love watching Antony. I had an eye on him since Dortmund game.

Real Madrid paid 80m rising to 100m Euros for Tchouameni, and they did this early in the window too and most considered it a coup.

Basically, whatever the prices we were used to, we can forget about them.

No doubt in my mind under Ten Hag he'll be a great player.

ETH knows what he's doing.
I know its too early but all the signings this season look really promising and he's already worked with Antony, must know the player inside out.

Agreed and Casemiro is definitely a shithouse.

I think it's just the ever spiralling inflation of transfer fees. Tchouameni, Nunez, Cucarella etc all seem overpriced by just as much.

Ajax fans were on my favourite fan channel about a week back, they obv talk a lot about Antony its a pretty good video.

Fact that people use goldbridge's name in this discussion shows how clueless they are.

Good day, this has been very boring discussion.

I do.. He has it all basically... Speed, dribbling, skills, he can come inside an score - he has a good shot - but he also has eye for the assis, his defensive work rate in coming back and in pressing is well up to par, he's shown at Ajax he is a big game player for sure..

Whether he will turn into a world beater or not, he has the X factor for sure and will definitely entertain, and I have confidence he will also deliver..

Challenge for him will be consistency, both within a game and within a series of games..
Brilliant, im excited now!

Yeah, best Brazilian in the league maybe?

richarlison/guimares/silva/Jesus/Allison/ederson/Casemiro/coutinho/Fabinho plus others

not saying he isn’t as good as these, just pointing out the competition. Worth waiting to see him play before we chuck around titles like that

It’s not close to £75m lost, if we didn’t qualify we wouldn’t agree to just wear their stuff for free. It is a reduction of the 75m, from memory they will still pay us around 50m.

I cannot believe how people are confident making statements like this after what we have seen in the past decade. I mean, we have heard the same song and dance about almost every player we signed.

Cristiano Ronaldo.

I think its because its a player EtH desperately wants, who so far has been on the money with his signings. Our previous signings were made by either amateur coaches or Woodward.

Madrid paid nearly 100m alone for Tchouaméni. It’s just the market. We haven’t saved or paid out anymore than other CL clubs would have.

Madrid were never going to let Casemiro go for cheap either. Made zero sense as he’s still amazing for them.

Thanks for the money!

So when will Man Utd consider his first season a success? 10 goals, 10 assists and a few highlights? Or he has to become your starplayer right away? Will he be rated a 100m starplayer or as a very expensive prospect?

In a way this is kind of like Martial. Unproven, expensive.. is he considered a failure or an expensive squad player?
