This is the only other forward out there right now who would be worth splashing the cash on if Ronaldo were to leave or the Antony/de Jong transfers fell thru

The difference is that Schick already failed at the highest level. He may simply not have the mentality. Some players like Werner look amazing in highlights, they seem like they have all the attributes to succeed in the PL.

Nothing yet, but for the price being quoted he must be prime Hazard.
Can honestly see us chancing it due to how impressive he's been in pre-season and then panic buying a forward or two in January when reality hits and we aren't scoring any goals. The Glazers seem to have a three signings per summer policy that they only break if we're in the shit or if a hugely marketable player suddenly becomes available.
Are we any closer to this deal? Just read that we’re willing to pay 70m for him but they want 80. Surely we’re not gonna haggle over 10m like we always do. Not that I think we should pay 80… should pay about 60 with 10m in reasonable add ons. Think this one gets done though… unlike de Jong Antony actually wants to join us and like martinez he’ll ask his club to accept the transfer and let him move.

Yeah I am! Think it'll be later in the window like the original reports suggested though. A few sales then we'll go for it. There's no way we will go into next season with our attacking options. Think ETH is mad on him from the snippets I've seen of them together.
The writing is all on the wall. They've even publicly stated they've signed his successor.
Keep on dreaming, if you read that statement you'd know that it's his eventual successor not immediate successor.

Schick's weird though. His xG almost doubled in the last season compared to the one before that. He was fairly pedestrian before that and I'd be slightly worried he'd revert to type at a higher level.

Shick just renewed his contract by 7 years or something. He is a very underrated player, I'd love us to get him but you can forget about it. First off he would cost far too much because of his big extension and secondly there is zero interest from the club in him.
Better off splashing the cash on teflon frying pans. That guy is nothing but overhyped mediocrity.
