Good Craig got his c'nuppins
Let's hope potential suitors weren't watching tonight. He might be the worst Brazilian player ever. I'd call him shit, but it would be an insult to shit.
This is actually very much the case, it is surprising more hasn’t been made of it.Everyone involved with this transfer should be subject to a criminal fraud inquiry
Murtough, Arnold and ETH combined were an absolute clown show.Antony cost this club £86 million. 86 million of the King's f'n pounds sterling. When we already had Amad on the books. I'll leave it at that.
Still probably not the worst miss I've seen - Ronny Rosenthal's is classicHow the hell he miss it?
It was more easy to score the miss the goal from that position.
The Miss was criminal, no idea what he was doing. Seemed to go completely invisible for 10 minutes or so afterwards too, probably shot his confidence further but we needed players to step up not to hiding.
I think that's the bare bones of it and he knows it, his teammates know it and his manager must surely know it by now.I'm just glad we won and I don't have to start typing things I'd regret about Antony. Shocking miss. Even for him, that's a shocking miss. Thanks for the goals against Barca and Liverpool Antony, but you aren't PL level.
That clearance off the line was better than de Ligt's against Arsenal.
He really didn't have to slide, and indeed that was the reason he missed. The only thing I can think is maybe that the defender was blocking his view of the ball so Antony just slid in as a guess of where it would end up.Poor miss, but not sure what he's meant to do different whilst already sliding in. Seems like the ball was just a bit behind for him, there wasnt much he could have done.
He has scored this same goal for us before, it doesn't mean anything.
Thought he added some balance and work rate to the team, added with some dumb moments too.
Nah, having that extra attacker on the pitch was important to getting us back into the match, even if it was only Antony. In the first two goals Antony was in the penalty box drawing a defender that otherwise may have been the closest to Amad at the time he shot, and in the third it looks like he'd gone back to RWB which is why Amad was pushed up high and in a position to win the ball.and Amorim dropped a major clanger bringing him on(although nailed the rest of the subs).
Same as Rashford and Casemiro, I do think there has been an element of freezing out to give a clear message they’re not part of the plans and can go. I could be reading too much into to it but it’s felt that way to me.Nah, having that extra attacker on the pitch was important to getting us back into the match, even if it was only Antony. Antony himself didn't do much, but just having that extra attacker made a difference and he and Zirkzee were the only ones on the bench. So it was a good call from Amorim to bring him on. Personally I would have preferred Antony go straight to RWB so Amad could play the more attacking role, but it worked out in the end.
I do wonder if Antony not getting more of a run out at RWB is Amorim trying to freeze him out so he leaves. Otherwise, the three or so times we've subbed him on in that position it's worked quite well and he and Amad seem to have a good combination. I would have thought this match would have been a good opportunity to try it from the start.
I think he was just going through the motions, I don't think he ever expected the ball to arrive at his feet. Throwing yourself to the ground like that looks as though you were anticipating to win a tap in when the ball either flies by or doesn't make it through the box.Imagine being an £80m footballer with the weak foot of a 5 year old. The reason why he slid is because he had 0% confidence in striking the ball cleanly with his right foot and needed to get his whole fecking leg behind it.
