Yaaas Broncos!
Valencia was getting a lot of praise for his tracking back the other day
Valencia scares me with the way he goes into tackles with his left leg, someone can accidentally break it. I don't understand why he does it. He just rushes into the defender, opens up his stances and just stamp his left leg on the ground. If the timing is a little bit off, he will be fecked.
Good goal by the way.
He can really hit the ball hard if it is in the air.

Something tells me he wouldn't miss his left leg much.
what's the deal with the lack of celebration?

Maybe he needs that big game to finally stop playing within himself, who knows.
It'd be a bit stupid to say you don't like him in big games before actually seeing how he plays in a big game for us, but that's just my opinion.
I swear to god if I see another simple minded idiot use Valencia and predictable in the same sentence again then i'm gonna spontaneously combust. No offence.
Two goals in two games, neither of which had anything to do with just sprinting past his man. And just in the past week, he's been integral in several other moves resulting in good shots on goal, none reliant solely on that "5 yard burst of pace". Watch the highlights again if you like, they're all in the Video thread.Valencia just seems really one dimensional to me...it's his style that limits him, he is far too reliant on his acceleration...I would like to see him move around with the ball more often, rather than stopping dead and relying on that 5 yard burst of pace.
There is already more to his game than the one dimension you remember from his first few matches here.
Great finish on him, it must be said. If he bags himself 12 or 13 goals this season with 15 or so assists, it wouldn't be a bad season at all.

To be fair, i think he'll bag about 5 to 8 goals this season and get about 10 assists. Thats not a bad return for a winger in his first season adapting to a new club.
We seem to been caught up in the Ronaldo world where 26 goals and 42 goals are the pre-requiste for the best winger in the world and all wingers must atleast get 1/2 of his share. i.e 13 goals and a fair share of assists.
Yes Valencia is one dimensional.. at the moment but ffs debut season.. once he settles in, I mean imagine when he actually begins to incorporate cutting in on a regular basis and feels comfortable and confident in doing so..which full back would be able to stop him?
Has a good shot on him, very good touch..honestly just needs little tweaks to his game and we've got a really class player on our hands. What's baffling is the fact that the coaching staff haven't had a word with him about his reluctance to cut inside..i'm sure they'll get round to it.
What makes you think they haven't?
I somehow suspect that our manager and coaches not only know what he needs to be doing, but are speaking to him about that on a daily basis. He won't make changes overnight.
Yeah they probably have, it's just it's annoying at times when you watch him.. because it's such an obvious flaw.
I'm curious to know how he smacked the crossbar, what with his inability to cut inside an' all?
