I think possibly because him signing for us last season was seen to be a mere formality before certain prohibitions were placed on Atletico, due to a certain ban, which led to his decision to stay (apparently out of an ethical decision). Even after that, most fans thought it was just a delayed formality and that he'd join the following summer. That's obviously not happened as thought, and so when it looks like Barcelona are likely to get him, his recent foray has added to the feeling of disappointment regarding the whole subject of Griezmann.
So we won't find out until ~9pm? Given the documentary will be live so we won't be able to skip to the end.

I think so too. I also think the announcement is timed for peak coverage, PL fixtures released in morning, WC dominates news cycle in afternoon, PL gets back in limelight by 8.16
