I think he's a bit thick. But I do hope he drags this on a bit longer, just to annoy people.
I hope that tonight his 'announcement' will be that he's delaying his decision until after the World Cup, so as not to distract from France's campaign.
He's a very talented player, but the only players who could have a chance at getting away with this sort of publicity-seeking activity would be all-time greats, and he is not one. Money and fame do weird things to people - he clearly has lost all touch with reality.
He's going to announce that his next announcement will be to announce an announcement, but be patient.

I’d he’s doing his own video reveal surely he’s staying. Our commercial teams and sponsors would never allow the player to go on telly and say he’s joining us so there’s no way he’s coming here.
