Strange he made the squad over Amad.
Amad looks a lot better
Attitude and mentality seems to be high on the agenda for Ralf.

Yeah, on Friday. It was mentioned that the reason the press conference was so early (9am) was that he wanted as many minutes in training as possible, so presumably Friday he had a chance to run the rule over what we've got.Was the first team even training? Saw the images from the first training session.. Didnt look like there were too many first team players in there..
Elanga looks more ready to me. He's more direct. Amad is very raw, but I agree he has a higher ceiling (I wouldn't use the term "better").Strange he made the squad over Amad.

Not impressed.
Those are the main points for me, he always showed for the ball and wanted it, the sign of a good player. We have some first teamers that started and weren't asking for the ball as much.- wasn't afraid to impose himself
- wasn't afraid to recieve the ball
- wasn't afraid to be on the ball
- didn't look out of place
- as strong and athletic as anyone on the pitch
Looked the same for me and a bit leggy, EPL tempo is a different animal and I think he can cover the ground quicker usually. The important thing is he got some valuable minutes and the manager noticed him and he will surely get his chance, finally at the expense of not good enough players like Martial. If the Frenchman wasn't forced out with an injury, it's a great statement and who of balls of our new manager, instead of playing the same players based on some kind of merit, name or price tag.Looks quite nervous to me. Hope to see him (and like of amad, mata, lingard) against young boys

Elanga on the left
Diallo on the right Wednesday night
Why not? He was absolutely fine. Kept possession well for the most part. Not impressed.
He didn’t do a lot, but I loved that he came on. Exactly the kind left field youth sub you want from Man Utd. The easy sub was Lingard, and probably what Ole or Jose or Moyes would’ve done, but he went for it. The kind of thing we should’ve done in the Europa final rather than running everyone into the ground like a maniac.
looking promising that him and maybe Hannibal get minutes this year now.
Fair play. Didn’t know thatLingard was injured in training so wasn't on the bench. The choices were Elanga, Mata or using Donny in a different role, given Mason had already come on.
I wasn't impressed by his performance.
Not impressed.
I heard "Anthony" on the loudspeaker and expected Martial. Was very pleasantly surprised to see Elanga and thought exactly the same. Fact that it's only been a week and he's impressed Ragnick is a really good sign. Very excited to see him progress under the new manager.Must have really impressed if he managed to get on the pitch after one training session.
Putting Elanga on when we needed a goal tells me this Ralfy chap isnt like everyone else. Ole would have never done that. Fergie and even Van Gaal used to do that shit. The lad has nothing to lose, go and give us something. Nice cameo as well.
I think it's more likely it was to send a message to the rest of the squad that because his training performance was that good.
If you know the boss is going to give you a shot for a good training performance then everyone ups their game.
We weren’t chasing anything, we were pretty much secure and it looked like a comfortable victory. Elanga was just fresh legs and he ran a lot, which is what the boss wanted.Rangnick throwing on a talenred teenager whilst chases a game is pretty normal for him, and It was great to see.
