I can garentuee you that any target we're genuinely interested in won't ever be claiming it publicly, not if we have made contact anyway.

"I am keeping my fingers crossed, but I don't know the future yet," Annan told Sky Sports News.
"I am still playing and the transfer market is not over yet. I am just hoping one or two things happen before the close of the transfer market and just hoping good things will come out of that.
"I think if I have opportunity to play there [England] I would be very grateful. If not Germany, Italy, Spain, everywhere. I think I will be ready to play over there.
"My agent knows what's going on and I will have a meeting with him and discuss what is happening with my future."

there are times when we could do with a more defensive minded midfielder in our midfield 5 to break up play.
I wouldn't see him as a regular first team starter, but I think a player of his type could be a very usefull addition to the squad.

I think with O`Shea getting a run in midfield last night then its possible he might be there more often this season along side Fletch when Brown is fit to play at right back! Just a thought!

I honestly think that if Liverpool are looking for a like-for-like replacement for Mascherano they'd do very well to get Annan. He's not significantly worse, but very significantly cheaper.
He's just looking for attention, at 24 he's yet to play for a decent side and I doubt he'd get any games at any of teams he has quoted as being interested. He will probably move to Sunderland or something.

Very disappointed with his decision making in the world cup. He has give me cause to go and reevaluate him again. I thought he was going to be the star in Essien's absence, but he was either anonymous or blasting shots from 40 yds and acting like he miss-kick ball and expected to score.
Annan seems intelligent, but he looks too small for the prem plus I don't think he is an improvement over any of our current midfielders
Much too limited player to be a realistic signing for us, I'd say. You basically have to sacrifice one player in attack in return for the defensive shift he puts in. That said, he's very good at what he does best, namely sitting in front of the back four breaking up the play.

It's silly to overrate or underrate players based on the world cup.I mean with the world cup plenty of amazing players played like shit and plenty of average players played like world beaters (Diego Perez, Vittek,Podolski).
