Angel Di Maria

I feel the same way about this like when we sold Robben. Madrid is runned by idiots.

We won't bring in anyone who'll have as big of an impact as he had last season. He was arguably our best player ffs. Oh well, I guess Perez has his decima and we can build another 12 years to get the next...

Woodward should be in for Vidal, Sanchez, Di Maria and Hummels, surely he can pull one off?

Sanchez or Di Maria and Vidal along with it god we would be tearing town the premiership, and will be contender for Cpl in the coming seasons.

I don't even care if Vidal chooses Bayern, I just want us to have a bid accepted and offer him a massive contract so he has a choice to make. Same with Di Maria and Sanchez!

After a good spell on the beginning of 2012/2013 season Di Maria got a new improved contract. As soon as he got it his form when to shit and that's all there is to say about that season.
Then came 2013/2014 season. It didn't start well and at the end of the year this happend:

Ancelotti stood by him and after he found his form again and played the best football of his career in the most important part of the season, all was forgotten.

But it really wasn't forgotten. Like I said, Di Maria is not Flo's favorite player, he is also not a midfielder, even though he played like one. Ancelotti wants him to stay, and if you think about it, which manager wouldn't. Even when he sucks, he makes up for it a bit, just with his insane work rate. You can stick him on either wing, in the middle. He can even play as a 10.
But Flo wants his new shiny world cup toy and he'll get it, and it will be financed by Di Maria's sale. I'm sure about that. I just don't know who's the player yet. Falcao has been having dinners with Flo and he was a guest at Bernabeu for a few games at the end of the season. He also didn't sell his house in Madrid. As for the world cup toy...maybe James...don't know..
I was hoping for Pogba, but selling Vidal and extending Pogba's contract seems to be the logical choice for Juve this summer. I just don't want us to sign Kroos.

Important to mention, so far Di Maria has been the only one giving signals to the other clubs with his statements. Flo has been silent and Ancelotti clearly want's him to stay. If the right club offers higher wages, Di Maria is gone. It really looks like it's only a matter of time..

All this while I was thinking you were a United fan. Btw, why wouldn't you want Kroos? He is a top player and I am sure he would do a great job in replacing Xabi who surely needs replacing sooner than later.

I can't believe i am saying it but signing Vidal seems the easiest one out of the three all these big clubs Barca , Madrid, Bayern and City are engaged in signing other players so its the best time to come up and sign him, if we keep delaying it then if Madrid doesn't get their hands on Kroos for eg or Bayern after signing cuardardo turn their attentions towards him or if Kroos is signed by Madrid then they might go for him. While barca have already signed Rakitic and city have signed that Dm from Porto so unless Toure leaves they won't sign him and it seems like Juve are willing to sell him i want us to go all out on him pay the amount they want so that this transfer is done and dusted i don't want it to drag on.

There's no penetration in Kroos and I just don't like that type of player for the role he would play in for us, which is one of the two CM's. He can pass the ball all day long, but he can't carry the ball forward like Di Maria or brake through the first line of defense with a simple quick dribble like Modric does. I'm not saying he's better or worse, just that I'd rather have a more mobile, more agile player like Pogba (or Herrera) playing there. This is just my subjective opinion..

I also don't see Kroos replacing Alonso who plays deep and does a lot of dirty work at the back. He often drops in line with CB's when defending and he rarely goes forward. He spends 0 time in final third of the pitch. Kroos can play AM or CM, but not DM in our setup.

And you can then pull the other one.

Mind, I'd love Di Maria. What is it with so many players that would suit van Gaal suddenly being "available". Or are the tabloids getting better at working out realistic targets that would suit tactics?
