Ange Postecoglou | New Spurs boss on 4 year contract

He's surely done right? Plenty of options of Prem managers that would be at Spurs level and are potentially good fits: Thomas Frank, Iraola, Marco Silva, McKenna, all would be good appointments IMO.
Why would any of them go there mid season?

We can only hope. Was a big fan of him before he came in, but it's like watching someone who doesn't know anything about football setting the team up

Always felt he wasn't any better than ETH, turns out he's actually worse than him. Couple of defensive injuries and he's got them in a relegation battle. Imagine if mate had all those injuries ETH had last season.

Why would any of them go there mid season?

Because it might be their best chance at a top 6 job opening up for at least the next 12-18 months? City, United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea seem very settled to me for the next year or two.

Thomas Frank especially has basically been producing the same type of season at Brentford for 3+ years now, I think he would see this as a logical jump.

Maybe but I wouldn't be so sure. Frank has had a few chances to leave and hasn't before. They're all at clubs in better positions than Spurs and have it rosy currently. If it was a summer situation it might be different but mid season when they have a chance with their clubs to do something I'd be surprised if they left.

No way are they this bad. He has lost the dressing room.

They have a top 6 level squad.

I wonder will he actually have some introspection and take some responsibility if he is sacked?

This will be his last game as Spurs manager I'm afraid. For patriotic reasons, I've wanted him to succeed but he's a goner after this game.

Who's going to replace him and do any better with the financial limitations there ?

We're having the banter season to end all banter seasons and Spurs are two points behind us.

Like, how the feck do they even manage it?

They have 5 good players, 2 of them are becoming sick notes center-backs, one is at the end of his career, Madison is out of favor and the last one is Kulusevski. Vicario, Bentancur, Sarr, Bissouma, Porro are pretty average and not players you would want to sign to win trophies.
Levy made one big signing in Solanke and it won't get him anything. Their next cycle is going to be a painful one with that stadium debt.

Ten Hag will be Spurs manager by February I reckon.
He's much closer to Dortmund atm I think. Also Spurs interviewed ten Hag back in 2021 and decided not to go with him. Think reasons were lack of charisma and his communication skills in English. They were definitely right as time at United showed. So they're not going for him definitely.

It'll be Iraola or Frank and either could be really good appointment.

On Ange: 3-2 loss obviously doesn't look as bad as 3-0 halftime did so less terrible. Still conceding 3 to Everton who rarely ever score atm looks poor. On the other hand, on all existing injuries they had Bissouma and Solanke unavailable today as well. Some of players coming back late this month, some during next month. He should get at least for some of them to come back and try improve. 10 players injured (most of them from first 11) is big list.

Big Ange has Spurs behind Man United in the table even though they won in Old Trafford that alone should get him sacked.
It’s mad that every club who’s having a shit season, their manager is getting the sack, they’re getting relegated etc, they all take points off man United

If they win the League Cup and get relegated this will be the Spurs season to top all Spurs seasons.

I dunno. If you’re managing a relegation candidate you get asked questions like that all the time. Seems silly that Ange can’t cope with it in this circumstance.
