Andre | Fluminense

André looks really good but he's another small player and I do think we need a monster at that position that wins headers. One thing United are really bad at is winning 1st and 2nd balls and so from the South American market, I would probably more inclined to go with Moscardo or Redondo who are both stronger defensively and also are more progressive.

Please please get this guy in. A midfield of Andre - Mainoo with Bruno or Mount up front would be quite balanced.

This guy plus Onana or Wieffer in over the next two windows would be excellent business (prices permitting). Bring them in and say good bye to Donny and McTominay and our midfield finally feels balanced and technical enough to compete.

After seeing how poor Amrabat really is not sure I trust buying another holding midfielder unless they're proven in a top league.

Then you’re looking at Enzo - Caciedo money or Lavia at the very least. That’s what scouts are for. Does he have attributes that will translate? Is he a driven character when things don’t go his way. Is he professional. I don’t know much about him but his highlights and profile as one of the better players in South America bodes quite well for finding some value before he gets a move.

If we go for a non-EPL-proven player, I'd prefer Vermeeren who looks like a generational talent.

I wouldn't say Vermeeren is generational. Doesn't look as good as say Bellingham, Camavinga, Musiala from other age groups or Zaire Emery who's younger.

Don't really like the term generational because people never actually mean what it should mean but I think Moscardo and possibly Kobbie are the best real class eighteen year old midfielders .

£60m+ for Gomes? PL clubs are taking the piss.

They’re not taking the piss, they just don’t want to sell a player they got a year ago. They would rather nobody pays 60m for him at all.

Yeah it's incredible how many people miss the fact that clubs might actually want to keep their players.

Especially those with years still left on their deal and no risk of losing them on a free.

Seems like the type of profile we might like so I doubt we’re really going to get him.

Bit gutted about this. At that price I just feel like we could've got him as well. Or would've loved time have got him. It'll take 60m odd in a few years to get him from Wolves.

He’s incredibly highly rated amongst Brazilian fans. He doesn’t look amazing to me, if I’m being honest, but I’m wrong about players a lot. I much prefer Danilo from Forest but he’d cost a fortune.

Buying directly from Brazil is a risk but one historically worth taking. There’s a few very interesting prospects atm - Beraldo, Luis Guilherme, Lorran, Gabriel Mec and maybe most promising is Estevao who’s being hyped up to comparable levels to Endrick.

In terms of a DM, I appreciate the creative option that Andre seems to represent. I mentioned that I prefer Danilo but he appears more of a destroyer as a DM. I get why we want more of a creative player but we seem to lack some physicality and Andre, albeit stocky, doesn’t really add to that. Zubimendi of Sociedad might be a good mix of passing ability and physical strength so he would be ideal but allegedly he has no interest in leaving his hometown club Sociedad (who are doing really well this year).

Damn is that the same Estevao who is joining Chelsea? They're going to be stacked in attacking positions.

If we thought he is good enough, should have gone for him now. Will cost at least 60m going forward (if he is any good that is). 21m pounds is not that much
