It's incredible how Onana is going to change united with his dribbling and passing abilities. His pin point passes are top-notch.

I hope with this person between the sticks we can finally stop looking like we are about to shit the bed everytime somebody glances our penalty box. Sick and tired of looking clueless, passive and shaky.

What kind of transfer saga is this if we can't even stalk a plane?

2/10 - rubbish on the saga-meter

Ye if he comes our for corners then it’s a bonus. Every time we concede a corner i feel like we’re gonna concede a goal.

Welcome Onana!

Did he retire from his NT? Do anyone knows why?

He had a bust up with the coach during the World Cup and was sent home. Allegedly, the clash was on playing style. Either way, he retired from the NT. But if they were to change managers, wouldn’t be a surprise if he started playing for them again.

Not just corners. Crosses as well. Despite all that i will still somehow will miss DDG. The man was awesome at those point blank distances. Many years from now, we will look back at him with fond nostalgia. A dying breed and consumnate pro. It will be weird seeing someone else there. But the game needs a new breed of keepers. We moved on with modern wingers to modern goalie now. Hope this guy will add some control there.

I just want us to go into the game against city and liverpool praying not to get routed 4-0 anymore.

Kepa's price was insane back then and looks even more incomprehensible years onwards :eek:

Indeed. And Alissons price looks like a steal. I hadn't even heard of him when Liverpool ponied up nearly £70m for him. Money very well spent. Has been the best keeper in the world for years now. Handsome dog to boot as well.

Completely deleted it from my memory that Kepa cost as much as he did. That is ridiculous. Chelsea are an awfully run club. I always find it hard to get excited about goalkeepers but DDG had to go and a refresh was needed. I do think that to play from the back consistently the entire back 6 (GK, Def & DM) all need to be effective with the ball at their feet. You’re getting fairly close to that now if everybody is fit and firing.

I have a feeling Paddy will forget his name just like he always forgot about Kagawa.

I think they’ll think twice about pressing us high now though with Onana, so I think we’ll see a lot more control and possession. Wouldn’t be surprised if Onana gets an assist this season from a long kick up and Rashford running onto it.

Maybe it's because I'm not a Chelsea fan but I don't recall Chelsea getting as much flack and criticism for that transfer as United have for the likes of Maguire (justified) and Antony (jury's still out.)

That's a crazy amount of money for someone who hasn't exactly been a resounding success.

Onana doesn’t give two shits about announcements: even before the medical he announces himself, saying he wants to win a Champions League here :)
