Anderson is aiming to sharpen his match fitness ahead of Sunday's Carling Cup final, with an outing for the Reds' Reserves on Thursday evening.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side take on Manchester City at Moss Lane, in a match which will be shown live on MUTV, and the Brazilian isn't the only squad member to have tasted first team action.

Serbian winger Zoran Tosic is also handed an outing, alongside Fabio, Richard Eckersley, Lee Martin and Ben Amos, while Danny Drinkwater and Ritchie De Laet return from injury.

The Reserves have hit a rich vein of form in recent weeks, culminating in last week's stunning 5-4 victory over Wigan, of which highlights are now available on MUTV Online.

United: Amos; Eckersley, C Evans, De Laet, Fabio; Martin, James, Drinkwater, Anderson, Tosic; Macheda.
Substitutes: Devlin, Derbyshire, Norwood, Brady, Bryan.

Awesome news, means he's starting/playing in a Cup Final !!!

Bet he scores for the reserves

Welcome back Ando !

Nice to see De Laet is back from injury.. Also good to see Tosic get a run out... I have a feeling he may be in the CC Final Squad.. As for Anderson great to see him back as well.. He should have a good 60 mins run out I believe.. And it always nice to see Fabio playing more.. Only upsetting thing is to not see Petrucci in the squad.. I think its fair to say he has proved himself in the Academy & more than deserving of a regular Reserve team spot..

Guys in how many hours does this game start? Any chance of getting a stream for it Via PM? Thanks in Advance..

Type "Manchester United blog fanow" on Google and click "I'm feeling lucky" - then you just click on the TV-button.

I'm guessing this isn't against the rules.

is de laet any good ?

@Chirag : the match starts at 7pm GMT , so in 4.5 hrs ..
check pm in a few mins

Where is the Red Totti?

He hasn't played in the last couple of matches for the Reserves or the Academy, he hasn't even featured in the squads which is very odd - no explanation as to why that is either.

Might be able to get down to this one, tonight.

Isn't Macheda suspended ?

Does anyone have a stream for MUTV ? The one in the Evra cooking thread doesnt work anymore :(

Great start by Anderson, that pass for Macheda was brilliant.
The boy just oozes class, whoever said that Gibson is breathing down his neck was surely taking the piss.

De Laet gives away a stupid penalty

Bojinov scores, just noticed him. He's carrying a lot of weight for a professional footballer.
