Actually I'm very musical. I play both the guitar and bass.

My choice of music is of no concequence, as I can see the good in all types. However her voice makes my brain want to implode. This isn't good.

If we're talking voices, I'd draw comparison with Imogen Heap - who to me is a thousand times better than Winehouse (though their styles are obviously different) whilst at the same time, falling almost as prone to looking like a ******.
 
If we're talking great female voices. . . then there's none better than Aretha Franklin(in her pomp, obviously). Amazing singing voice

Don't see them comparable. I guess you'd explode listening to Joanna Newsom, too.
 
She has a great voice but she lacks the ****** factor. And I'd still prefer Imogen Heap's style of singing. Personal preference.
 
For fecks sake!!! We're going to the Nuke Festival in Austria, one of the main reasons was that Amy was scheduled to perform - I'm about to leave for the train and I have just found this:

Never heard of her until now but from the YouTube clips she seems to have an amazing voice and delivery even if it isn't your cup of tea.

Persoanlly I'd take her style of music over Pink, Shakira and the like every day of the week.

If we are talking female vocal performance then I have to give my vote to Mariah Carey..that pitch on her voice was incredible

Mariah Carey!!! well she does have an obnoxious personality but she is vocally superior to the other music video tramps in her generation

She's awful. Totally out of tune. And those high tones of hers are kin to someone scratching a blackboard with their nails. Mary J Blige is by far the best of her generation in terms of singing ability.
 
If we're talking about the best female voice i'd admitt to liking Fiona Apple over anyone mentioned in this thread. Not my type of music but amazing voice.


No idea what this video is like as i'm at work and can't view it, but i did notice it had 5 stars when searched in google. :nervous:
