Yes, finally....for the first time in my life I will see Man.Utd against Ajax in the AT. I will go to the match tonight. I think Ajax will beat Man.Utd 2-1 ......... ;)

MancFanFromManc,

:) I saw that game to, but on television. I live near Amsterdam, about 3 miles from there. I'm certainly going to enjoy the game and the skills of Man.Utd.

In your opinion, why will Ajax win? Not trying to be argumentative, just curious as I haven't seen Ajax play in ages.

Are they more advanced in their pre-season than United as well?

they will win but they won't play better...it's just that forlan will hit the post 15 times :)

I saw the team of Ajax play against Celtic, and I must say that they performed very well with an 3-1 victory. They have much new talents from their youth development plan. Under Ronald Koeman as a manager they performe like Ajax should performe.........AWESOME

Ajax is on his way back to become a major player!! Mark my words....... ;)

United 4 (Solksjear, Bekham, Forlan, Keane)
Ajax 2

Choices, choices... tonight I must decide whether to see Liverpool's first-class newcomers get thrashed by Real or United and Rio go up against Ajax, both on at the same time. :D

Will the BBC broadcast this match? Anyone?? I don't think they will in Holland. I like this match to have it on tape...

As Jens said, 8.15, but for a while I was under the impression it was 5.30. Sky advertised both games (United-Ajax and Barca-Parma) for 5.30, so I thought I could watch the Liverpool game later, but it turned out it is 8.15. :o

ill go fecking mental if my boozer decides to show the dippers instead of us

It's live on SBS 6.

looking forward to seeing Chivu and Van der Meyde in action...hope they impress Fergie too, particularly Chivu who should be our no.1 target for lb.
Van der Meyde would be a good candidate to fill the Sheringham role too, if Gujohnsen wasn't available.

Yeah, the European cup used to be really hard to win. To think we only had to play teams like......
Barcalona
Bayern
Juventus
Inter Milan
Playing 13 games, scoring 31 goals
What an easy ride we had.
oh yeah, i nearly forgot...
;)

It's one hell of a threesome (with the mousers making up the numbers ;) ).

Wouldnt it be a shame it our friends from merseyshite got a reet gud 'ammering off all 3

(course if they beat all 3, then the others werent taking it seriously)

:)

We stayed in the Marriott (on the Boss's Amex card!) just over the bridge from the Leidseplein. I've just been wracking my brains to remember the big pub there. The entrance is/was a Duke Box. Nice Cafe Bar below too !

Happy Days :D

Well, here I am after a long pause (transfer rumours made me sick!!) I predict 2:0 for us. Forlan and Keano the scorers.

PS Riquelme scored two for Barca in the other game..

we're only playing 2 of the teams in the Amsterdam Tournament ;)

(just thought I'd get that in before Davo does)
