Djalminha? No but i'm sure he played in Spain around the time Eto'o was playing at Mallorca in the early 2000's
Djalminha?
Yes indeed, one of my all-time favourite players to watch who just missed out on the period where the game became truly globalised and proliferated. If he gets to just 70% of Djalminha's level he would be my favorite player instantly. Such flair, cheekyness and skill of Djalminha.
Did all the moves Ronaldinho later popularised. Pass with the back, elastico, etc. A special player who sealed them their first and only La Liga trophy in 99/00.

Dont do that. Thats a proper tease. Djalminha. Sigh. Oh to have prime Djalminha in the utd XI right now, they'd be breaking into OT to get intot he stands to watch. What a player. One of my all time favs aling with Ronaldinho. Off the cuff geniuses, something messi and ronaldo arent. If he gets to just 70% of Djalminha's level he would be my favorite player instantly. Finidi George or Denilson?
All his touches is Serie A 2020 (only has 3 matches as a senior player):
No neither of them.
Kiki Musampa? Vicente?
Nope, keep going back to him when I am trying to remember, but it was somebody else.
Nearly bust my VCR re-watching Djalminha's rainbow flick at the time.
It's driving me nuts but he reminds me of somebody and I can't think who, and there's only so many times I can watch the same video hoping it will come to me.
What do you think his ceiling is and what can we expect from him. Finally finished to watching those games.
He's clearly above his age group. He may be good enough for first team football, but I wouldn't expect game changing/ game unlocking level. Not enough games, and don't see in any of these games, that he has unplayable ceiling. Therefore, I don't see this as Messi, Ronaldo level of talent. He's not explosive in his play, something those beast of young players show when they bursted into the scene.

Many wanted Ronaldo sold after his first few seasons here. There was even many who woud've swapped him out for Aaron Lennon. Finally finished to watching those games.

His touch and technique is incredible and it really stands out when watching the games. He's a play making winger that with a bit of patience will be a very dangerous player as a inverted forward.Different class. They couldn't handle him.
Had to laugh at City trying to take kick off during the celebrations. Even their u19s lack class or sportsmanship.

Ronaldo was very raw when he arrived at United, his passing and shooting was very erratic. In his first full start for us (Wolves if I'm not mistaken) he was poor. And in the first few years in general there was far too many games where his decision making along with what I've already mentioned was not upto scratch. Not me.
The problem with Ronaldo was his decision making. Explosiveness, relentless, dribbling, know when to pick up, the ball, agility, all kind of skill to pass, beating the defenders, power behind the shot.
Here, even when Amad Traore made the right decision, it feels as if he has some technical issue in his play, underhit pass, stumble on ball when dribble. Still good, but not special.
This lazy argument has been used for a while even for the like of Memphis Depay. Some player can improve vastly overtime, sure. However, when you have those hype job as Messi level, it's fair to assess strictly based on that touted level of talent.
Leo? Lionel Messi? It's driving me nuts but he reminds me of somebody and I can't think who, and there's only so many times I can watch the same video hoping it will come to me.
Ronaldo passing decision was off, but technical wise, I don't see it raw. Raw I would think as under hit, over hit, Bebe like crossing. Ronaldo could rush thing and make a poor decision, odd pass, but given time, you don't see him misskill with his passing. Same with shooting. He used to focus on power shooting during his Sporting formation. At pro level, GK can deal with straight shooting. He had issue with trying to bend his shot both with accuracy and power. It took a quite to master, but it's not like he can't shoot when you compare to someone like Anderson.Ronaldo was very raw when he arrived at United, his passing and shooting was very erratic. This kid probably won't ever reach the levels Ronaldo has reached. But IMO this kids touch, technique and linking up with his team mates is of a higher level at the same age.
Ronaldo wasn't even considered the biggest talent coming through at SCP at the time. That was Ricardo Quaresma who most SCP fans said was the jewel from their academy.Ronaldo passing decision was off, but technical wise, I don't see it raw. You sold Ronaldo very sort if you think technical wise Ronaldo was at lower anything but decision making at same age. The friendly vs us should be easy to find. Ronaldo was central of Sporting attack in that game. He's unplayable for pro player and reigning PL champion at that time. Ronaldo short coming at young age is due to him trying to do crazy tricks.
Let's agree to disagree.

Ronaldo was raw in almost every aspect at the beginning of his career at United, I think. Technically, he was definitely good but he was very unstable in terms of dribbling past players or beating defenders to creat space to pass the ball or shoot. He skills were mainly for showboating, very unpractical. He did improve a lot after the first three years; how he transformed himself is beyond my imagination.
Amad is better when corned in a small space. His combination of pace, technique, swiftness, agility, balance is simply better than any of United players coming to my mind. Maybe Giggs is the only exception, IMO.

Hold on, is this the same person?
Nope
Doesn't look that quick to me. Reminds me a bit of Sancho.
Actually no, I haven't. I rarely watch full games unless it's United playing. But I am of the opinion that youtube highlights gives one a good idea of the type of player at hand as well as his strengths etc. Clubs have scouts watching full games of players for months and still around 50 % of all signings end up flopping or underwhelming.
