Alvaro Morata

The Madrid papers are reporting tonight that Real Madrid would prefer him to go out on loan and that they're talking to Villareal about it.

Whether that's what Morata wants may be a different matter.
 
Even if he ends up being sold, expect Madrid to insist on a buyback clause like they've used a lot in the past. He could be away for just one season like with Carvajal who signed for Leverkusen, had one impressive season in Germany and then Madrid bought him back
 
Seems he is heading to Juventus for 18 million Euros.

Madrid getting a Buyback clause of 32 or 35 million Euros.

Strange deal for Juventus.

I've read Juve are paying a very low amount now, like 2m€, and then they have a buy option for an extra 18m€ if they want to keep him in the next 2 years or so. I guess Madrid could then cancel their buy option for 32m€. Still, no official info yet and very different numbers, so it seems all speculation.

Madrid didn't want to sell him without a buyback and Morata probably liked the idea as well - so it may have been that deal or nothing. It's a good deal for Madrid.

They want to sign another striker, yep. Was always the one of the priorities of their summer.

Probably Falcao but Monaco not the easiest to deal with.

Along with rodriguez, falcao has been the player that the club has been linked the most with. I remember even reading at times that a deal had already been struck but I don't think that is the case.

Thing is Morata is hardly fully ready right now and if he improves and really becomes a star Madrid will want him back. Risk/Reward ratio for a club hardly swimming in cash doesn't make sense. Unless it is differently structured like Louvega says.

They could have had Mandzukic for that much. Probably can get Lukaku or Chicharito too.

Yes I would think that €18m has a whole bunch of bonus payments for appearances/trophies etc inside it. I can't see them risking that kind of money on someone who might not turn into a starter.

The same operation Barça did with Bojan, didn't and well

Bojan now seems an ex player, rejected by Ajax as well
