Scored 4 tonight for Spain U21. What do we know about this kid?

Haven't seen enough of him to predict just how good he'll become but he looks like he will be a quality player. Think I've mentioned it before on here, he's like Lewandowski. That's who he reminds me of.

Was good at the Euros too. Will need to move from Madrid soon I think.

Isnt Jese Rodriguez the bigger talent out of these two?

In principal people say Jese's got the better skills but Morata's got the better attitude, though Jese may be growing up now. Whether either can make it with Madrid we wait and see. Obviously they've got a tough job to become more than squad players.

6 goals tonight forthe U21s, all from Real Madrid players: Morata with 4, Carvajal and Jese with one each, Carvajal scored for Austria as well :smirk:

Carvajal will cement right back for Madrid, Jese and Morata will probably need to go through a couple more loan spells if they want to end up starting at Madrid. Or they could do what they normally do, sell them both and buy them back in a couple of seasons

 as soon as I found out he had scored 4 goals I went straight to google.

Spurs wanted him as part of the Bale deal, one of the major sticking blocks because Madrid know they've actually got a home grown talent.

Madrid are trying to build a Spanish core so I can't see him leaving any time soon.

I'm talking about Callejon I think.

So they sold FSW 3 players or is Callejon on loan?

They sold all three. Callejon was a good squad player for them, a Young sort of level player in many ways, but he wanted more game time.

Impressed me in the Euros U21 last year.

I'd nab him if RVP and Hernandez is off. Rooney, Morata and Welbeck with Keane as back up. TO THE FUTUUUUUUREEE!

Morata and Jesse not like Madrid to have two talented homegrown forwards coming through... Knowing Madrid they will probably flog them both (and isco).

All of them are quality - unfortunatley for us they are more cl quality rather than UEFA quality.

Morata needs playing time. A loan deal in January would have been a good move. Unfortunately, for him, Madrid only have a 23 man squad and he's the only like-for-like replacement for Benzema.

For us? I really don't know. Right now, he's like Madrid's Welbeck. Everyone wants him to succeed. Some matches, particularly for Spain's U21s he looks like a hot prospect, then you see him miss an easy chance a couple of days later for the club. He seems especially nervous in front of goal when he's in the Bernabeu.

Like I say he needs playing time, but he's competing for those spare minutes with Jese (who has no trouble scoring) and Isco, who must also be feeling very frustrated by the lack of game time. I think Madrid will want to keep him, and will offer him a new contract that includes a year on loan, or will encourage him to go to a club that allows Madrid to include a buy back clause.

Aye, a 1 in 2 record for Real B is decent. His international record is very impressive, clearly knows where the net is and it would be nice if we could get Deulofeu back again, as they'd have a good partnership and fit well in with our style, as we have already seen with Gerard.

Well that sort of thing didn't stop Frank Ribery from joining Bayern Munich did it?

I read Wolfsburg is interested in him though their General Manager Klaus Allofs has lots of players on his radar for the summer. Firmino, Volland, Choupo-Moting, Morata and Dzeko among others. Seems like Volkswagen is getting serious this time around.

Apparently, Ancelotti confirmed today that Morata will leave RM this summer. He didn't mention though which club Alvaro is joining: Juventus? Wolfsburg? Anybody else?

They want a buy back clause inserted into his contract which I doubt any decent sized club would be interested in.

Juve appear to be keen, but they keep getting mentioned in the context of a swap deal with Madrid getting Vidal or Pogba - so I don't know how seriously to take it. Juve are supposed to be talking to Marcelo as well.

I like him but cant decide whether I think he will be a top striker or not. Hopefully Arsenal sign him and Real activate the clause when Morata shows he can score every week. :D

I think not. Madrid fans overrate him because he's castilla product. Future Negredo maybe, which means not good enough to come back.

I don't overrate him at all, I actually agree with you, don't think he's good enough to cut it with us. Jese on the other hand will become a very special player, immensely talented.

He's got a touch of the Danny Welbeck about him. He can go from looking really good to really disappointing, especially in front of goal, in the space of a single move. He also seems to suffer stagefright at the Bernabeu, which is not ideal for a Real Madrid striker.

He lost his "first sub" status to Jese this season, and only really started getting playing time again after Jese got injured. I think he needs the move.
