Alternatives to Jadon Sancho

As a Leverkusen fan how much do you think your club would ask for Bailey if big clubs came in? Would we still be talking Havertz money?

It obviously depends on how the season goes. Last window, most fans would've been okay with ~30m but our officials seemed to rate him higher based on the few media reports covering the rumors. If he contimues playing like this, it will only increase but can't imagine Havertz regions.

Do you think his game would suit the Premier League

Totally agree. Get Neto in.

Obviously it is a bit kneejerk as he's just had a great game, but that being said I do love his style. He's got that gritty determination to his game and that finish after running himself ragged all game showed class.

He could look even better around better players. No offence to Wolves.

Yeah his winner tonight reminded me of that goal that Jota scored in the FA Cup a couple of seasons back to beat us

He's also got that pace that terrifies defenders. 1v1 with Zouma (who is not slow) and he looked terrified.

Don't think that matters. You suit a team, not a league. But I think Bailey is usable in pretty much every system. Every coach can use a player who is a good dribbler, has great pace and scores goals on top of it.

Neto needs to be looked at if he continues as he is, Portuguese players seem to smash the PL too.

Yeah I noticed that too. For whatever the reason, PL just suits Portuguese players really well.
They seem to just hit the ground running as soon as they come. Its kinda interesting cuz normally it takes a lot of adjustment for players from other leagues.
Fred is a good example, heck Pogba too.

Did Wolves expect him to progress this much in such a sort space of time?

Definitely one to monitor and won't cost more than £45 million surely.

Not interested in any young up and coming RW until I've seen more of Greenwood Pellistri and Diallo there

Would say the only way we are going to see Pellestri in a Premier League squad is if we have either a serious injury crisis in the wide areas or they decide to bring back the five substitutes for the rest of this season. He could well make the bench against Everton but think a more realistic debut would be a cameo against Watford in the FA Cup.

I would be looking at Julian Brandt's dortmund situation.
Would be an all round great squad addition. Covers left wing, can play wide in a diamond. But also become quite the counter attacking central midfielder.
Hes out of form.
He and a DM would cover for the losses of Pogba, Matic and James.

Diallo is already our Sancho alternative

How much you reckon they'd sell him for?

Wolves dont seem like they would ask for anything more than what they asked for Jota and he had been there longer.

I just say that because they honestly seem like a club that use that transfer money from one Portugese player sold to buy 5 other Portuguese or south American players from the Portuguese leagues. It just genuinely seems like their transfer strategy.

I'm increasingly convinced we're going to go for Neto. He's only 20 and his ceiling could be very high.
He looked electric tonight no doubt and definitely caught the eye. His ability to keep the ball at close quarters under pressure whilst running at full pelt was a joy to watch. I also didn't know he's still 20.

What makes you convinced we are going for him by the way? Is there anything in particular? Have we been linked?

No idea. Surprised the let Jota go that «cheap». Always feel we end up getting fecked over. Somewhere between £50m and 80m?
Didn't they let Jota go because they felt he was slightly surplus to requirements, maybe even because of their belief in Neto. (I seem to recall Wolves fans saying as much on r/soccer)
