All ticket/travel information thread - 2024/25 edition - Ticket Purchasing FAQ in OP. Please read it and be careful purchasing tickets

Maybe a bit far in advance but I’m likely to be in Manchester the weekend Spurs come to visit, match likely to be 13th march. When are tickets likely to be released for this?

I am newbie around these parts really hoping if someone has spare Everton im hoping to bring my boy for his first game. Looking for 3 at the moment have a membership flights and accommodations booked

Hey guys,

Veteran scroller, rarely a poster, hello :) Anybody got a spare for the Villa game? Doubtful I know but worth an ask perhaps!

I’m struggling to find much info myself, does anyone familiar with Spanish and Italian football know the likelihood of away fans being allowed to our matches against Atalanta and Villarreal?

im guessing Atalanta will be at least 50%, but not sure about Villarreal?

Who was the chap who has contacts at the ticket office?
Any inside knowledge on Villa tickets coming spare?

It's looking like Newcastle so far...not much doing.

Hi, I commented earlier about it, there will 100% be more tickets going on sale I just can’t be sure when and there may not be many

Ta pal. If you hear anything else, please whack it on here, or as a PM :)
Obviously i'm going in refreshing every so often, but doing that blind gets dull quickly!

Look like there's going to be a tram strike for the villa game

And Liverpool potentially. And the Manchester marathon.

Obviously specifically targeted at the biggest events to make their voices heard.

Yep, have been in a fair few times. But the tickets seem to change regularly. It's changed from when I looked literally 5mins ago, so I'm not sure if they're getting returns and ringing people or something like that.

Being United probs selling them over the phone depending on who you talk to, one person can't do something the other person can that's always been my experience with the ticket office, luck of the draw.

I see execs have increased from £150 to £250 for Villa? Have no shame do they, on top of the sly £5 increase on members prices this year.

If United were accessible I'd be phoning up because let's have it straight, they are taking the complete piss out of members here. There is no way the above is all that is left for Villa, zero. They 100% held some back in the initial sale, with no tickets released anywhere in the lower tiers. These tickets clearly exist as for Leeds whole rows appeared in the lower tiers and even a block next to the singing section. These tickets just vanished into thin air for Newcastle and it appears the same is happening for Villa. They are just trying to pump out as many memberships as possible, load of bollocks.

I thought maybe Newcastle was a one off but if this is what's happening going forward then I want to know what's going on with tickets. As i said, if you could actually get through to them I'd be asking but its a completely pointless exercise ringing, probably by design so they can take the piss.

Hello all.

I've got one spare exec seat for Everton available. I want face value which is £150. It's in the quadrant by the Stretford end. I want to forward it to a member only.
Let me know if you're interested.

Unless it changed recently Spanish football still has reduced capacities with no away fans - i think something like only 30%

There's some outrageous stuff flying around.
Those sports packages (ticket n hotel) the club peddle could possibly just about being considered at the bottom end price, but obviously after about 5mins the cheapest is about £400 +.
Live football tickets, I had a look at, after Sarni's experience the other day. We all knew the price would be silly anyway, but they actually bang a £40 admin fee per ticket on too. Just unbelievable.

The 3rd party sites is what it is, plenty of season ticket holders will be selling to make some money and loads of ST's are controlled by touts anyway - it's always been that way. The supply from the club however has completely dried up and as you allude to it will be inflated ticket and hotel from partners / others being dished out underhand to sponsors or other parties.

I did want to give the club the benefit of the doubt after Newcastle but it's pretty obvious now tickets are just vanishing. Even if I have this wrong, why the hell are they waiting to release these tickets anyway? The big drop was never in the week of the game unless it was Liverpool/ city if i recall correctly. Surely just release Villa, Everton, Villareal / Atalanta etc now?

Add in them just deciding to change the kick off time for Villa out of nowhere / the pain in the arse getting in ( Saturday was an embarrassment ) I'm starting to get really pissed of with it. It's ridiculous you have to commit on a day in July to buy tickets for games you have no clue what time they are, and when they even do release them its never the whole ground anyway or just whenever they fancy it.

I had forgotten the hassle of scrabbling around for tickets from the pre season ticket days. But at least back then it was mainly for the big games, and there was viagogo if needs be. Oh the days of of thinking £75 for a £49 ticket was touting - these days that almost looks reasonable versus other options!
I certainly hadn't realised that a huge percentage of tickets are sold in one go pre dates being arranged, so missed that whole window.

I wish I had kept my STHs on now, but while demand looks off the scale this year now, that's captain hindsight stuff. It could very easily have been a big post covid lull, no Ronaldo, and risking losing money quite often.

Someone said this new electronic stuff would stop touting. It looks the exact opposite - you simply print out a ticket on paper, no ID checks, and an absolute superb result for the touts.
I was always interested in how they got tickets back when they were on cards, but now that's no issue.

Am surprised the club don't get after these 3rd party sites though, it wouldn't take a genius to track down how these tickets are getting out there.

Hi,

I am just wondering how long in advance do Sky/BT release the dates for fixtures.

Just looking to go to the Arsenal game on 30th November and not sure if it will be the Tuesday/Wednesday night...

Thanks

Finally got my forwarding issue for the League Cup game sorted, it took about 12 days in the end. I'll definitely be allowing two weeks before the game when forwarding tickets from now on, if I even want to go through that pain again!

I believe they are due to be doing the November games today now you mention it... but they often seem to delay it to the Friday, and lateish afternoon for whatever reason.

This is one of our biggest issues, for members anyway

there are people out there who have 10-15 season tickets, they sell the big games for big money and the lesser games for as close to face value as they can get, a lot do it so they can guarantee (well, virtually) being successful in away ballots, and if they’re really lucky and get lots they sell some of those too.

i don’t know anyone who does this but I know of at least 6 who do, there will be plenty more.

I was wondering how this would work, as you'd think there would be some steps to flag 10-15 tickets being "looked after" by one individual / sent to a single address.
But I'm pretty sure a lot of supporters clubs have one individual who legitimately does the admin for their whole club, so it would fly under the radar quite easily.

We've even had people on this thread every so often saying they have 5 or 6 spares for games!

Can anyone source two tickets for me, for any game please? It's for a friend and his wife. He's not fussed on the game.

If there are any going please do give me a PM, I'd be happy to arrange it, thanks!

Thanks very much for this, I will keep any eye out for it. Just to sort the flights, hotels ASAP.

Villareal tickets on sale now to members - lots left at time of writing but move fast

Thanks guys! He's not a member unfortunately and I don't think he's interested in being one  I tried to buy two for him to the Villa game as an ST holder, which I would then forward on, but apparently you still need to be a member which is a shame.

It's only £20 a member if you take the lite option. Probably only way he'll get in aside from league Cup homes. (Which I think West Ham next Wednesday may we be on general sale?)

Can anyone help me with getting one of these free memberships that I’ve seen mentioned? I don’t want to log out of my account because I had a hellish time getting in to manage my season ticket when the site changed but I need to forward it to someone who isn’t a member (and doesn’t want to pay to be one) for the Villa game.

Dont think free memberships exist.

You don't need to be a member if buying through sportsbreak, BUT they require accommodation to be part of the package.

I think there’s a way to register and get a number, I’ve seen people mention it on here but I can’t play about with it while I’m logged into my account.

Open an incognito window on your browser then you can do whatever without effecting your logged in account.

Plus costs an absolute bomb! £217 is the cheapest package for Burnley for eg!
