He's 32 and recovering from a serious injury.Neuer quit playing football already?
Probably not??When will the media start talking about Liverpool crazy spending as they were doing with United ?
BothOnly one season at Roma as first choice and going for that kind of money. He must be crazy good or Liverpool are crazy desperate
I have to admit Kopp is potentially building a very good team there - particularly one that is focused on the high energy and pace he wants from his playersIf he is better than Ederson, he's worth top dollar. Could take them to the next level.
surely need to see how many shots they faced? for example, Nick Pope was probably peppered compared to those other keepers towards the topAll Goalkeepers taken from Premier League, La Liga and Serie A that played 1000+ minutes.
The percentage is the amount of shots they let in. De Gea for example had 142 shots (28 conceded) which means he let in 19.7% of the shots. I've highlighted in red the Liverpool keepers and highlighted in blue Alisson.

thank you!Done. Nick Pope had 4 more shots to face than De Gea, 11 more than Alisson.
thank you!
Do people seem to forget we have more or less earned most this cash and made a lot on sales. We're not spending money we domt have. Check Net spend if you want a clear financial view.
Or if you want to whinge dont let facts get in the way of that.
Perfect! He has a great record to be fair to him!Added Ligue 1 and Bundesliga now. That's the top 5 leagues in Europe covered.

He’s turned you from a doubter to a believer hasn’t he Alex?Don't know what this is in response to in particular, but a large amount of the criticism I've seen regarding Liverpool's spending has been specifically aimed at Klopp for being hypocritical. He made a big point to say that he wanted to do things differently than the managers that spent large amounts on individuals, clarifying that he wouldn't do it even if he could. Yet here we are, with him having already made Van Dijk the most expensive defender ever, on the verge of him making Alisson the most expensive goalkeeper ever. It's all well and good bringing up net spend but that's not what people are criticising.
I think most United fans are actually a bit fearful of the squad you're putting together now. You've spent a decade plus going for the bargain option and it's barely ever, if at all, worked out, and your squad has constantly been left with gaping holes and a severe lack of strength in depth. Bit by bit you're adding that much needed quality, addressing longstanding issues, and finally beginning to add some strength outside of your starting line-up. It just happens that you've done this while spending a shit ton of money on individuals just a year or two removed from your manager saying he categorically would not do that. The final piece for Liverpool is to now keep hold of their best performers.

I’d rather pay 100 mill for Oblak than 75 for Allison.

Is De Gea top of the long passing stats? I've always felt that he had excellent accuracy with his long passes.Looking at his passing stats he's prone to a few errors with his short game. But his long game looks fantastic.
Long Passing = 55.4% Accurate from 495 (3rd from 113 goalkeepers)
Short Passing = 98.8% Accurate from 587 (57th from 113 goalkeepers)

Given that his short passing means only 7 misplaced, I would say that stat isn't of great value.
is this just being copy pasted around the various topics?Liverpool going City route and getting a team full of 50m+ players.
We're just shitting on your manager for being a massive hypocrite.is this just being copy pasted around the various topics?
We're spending within our means, which is still less than what you are generating.
About bloody time we started spending to the extent of our spending power too.
@RedSky stats are making me giddy again.
This is the top 10 from all 113 goalkeepers in the list on top of page 5. He's pretty damn good based on last seasons stats, one of the best in Europe and understandable why his price tag is so huge.
