Alexis Sanchez | Done deal

It looks like it's happening now. Sanchez has all the attributes to be a great player for you. He is in his prime, and you can have him for 3-4 good years. He will probably be a succe right away, and that's what you need now.

You need proven quality upfront to catch up with City. Martial and Rashford have great potential, but they can not yet carry the team, when the going gets tough.

It looks like good business the club has made getting him, and also a statement of intent. Getting rid of Mkhitarian as a part of the deal is a win win..

You may call Liverpool a selling club, and you're right.. We couldn't hold on to Torres, Alonso, Suarez, Sterling, Coutinho..

But what does this transfer say about Arsenal right now? Their fans must must be fuming, and rightly so. Arsenals best player in a switch with a reject from Manchester United is hardly what they need, when they should be trying to catch up with you.

My god do we need him, I don't care if we pay him £2,4m\week, he is totally worth it.

Another 48 hours? Nooooooooooooo, please let this end so I don't have to keep visiting this thread.

48 hours is the longest time in transfer land. Good to see Craig Norwood getting involved though.

No doubt in my mind we'd have scored 3-4 on the counter in the 2nd half with Alexis instead of Mata

Yes it'll probs be Mata who is sacrified for Alexis but none of goals we should've scored were his fault. There's a reason why Mous come to like Mata at United. Because he's got composure, something our younger players don't have as you saw today.

I like Mata, but he was dreadful today. Gave the ball away for fun.

I think we'll get a "subject to a medical" official announcement tonight or tomorrow

"Club hopeful to pencil in a medical in the next 48 hours"? I'd like to have thought the medical was close to completion by now.

Has this been the longest transfer thread ever?

Let’s get it over with fast. After today’s performance, I think we need him ASAP.

Pogba one went over 1000 pages just 19 months ago

Asked about Alexis Sanchez coming to Manchester United from Arsenal, Mourinho says: "If you ask me if I think he is coming, I think so, but I have no confirmation."
