Alexis Sanchez | Done deal

For the love of god, can any other journo please get out of fecking bed and confirm this?

Why has John Cross/Mirror got this story and no one else? :wenger::lol:
Mail and Mirror both have this story. I am going to look at other newspapers now.

been up since 3am cleaning up dog poo, the new puppy doesn’t seem to get that he has to wait till the morning and not just shit in the floor and tread it all over the room. The very houseproud mrs isn’t impressed one bit.

My theory is though that he is as excited as everyone else. Probably heard a helicopter overhead in the night and immediately thought it was Sanchez on his way to Old Trafford, a true full kit wanker showing. Then he just shit himself with excitement and his tail must have wagged so hard it went everywhere. I can picture it now in slow motion with a shower if shit coming down in him without a care in the world. Me walking in the room holding my nose whilst cleaning up the shit with my old Mkhitaryan shirt with him continually shitting and pissing with excitement as the Mkhitaryan shirt gets shittier and shittier until you can’t see it anymore. His name is Barkley and he is 10 weeks old, is it too late to change his name to Sanchez?

Barkley? Is the missus a Chelsea fan?

It's as good as a done deal no? With both players unhappy at their respective clubs it seems like good business for both parties.

I have to say though, i am curious on how Miki is going to do at Arsenal.

Yes, as SKY and Ornstein hinted last night, it's Raiola trying to get money that is slowing it down.

Na, I always sign Sanchez and Ozil on a free in FIFA, I feel like I’m an expert now from all the interactive transfers I have completed. I would have got Sanchez across the line in a two minute chat on 180k a week. Woodward should feel ashamed

No wonder people are complaining about the pay packet when deals like that are being pulled out

You probably got 30m for Mkyi ontop aswell to make it worse for the caf!

I fell asleep, how has nothing happened? You'd think everyone was in bed or something.

Damn Lazy Journalists, not getting off their bed on a Saturday. Announchez and then sleep as long as you like.

This is the only source (John cross) claiming both of them are heading to their destinations. Looks like Raiola has fecked up the swap and now the deal will be two deals.

Imagine if Mirror Sport had their own TV channel

12:03 - Breaking news: Sanchez spotted in a Manchester Fish and Chip shop
12:37 - Breaking news: Sanchez in Dubai with someone who looks like he could be related to Ray Parlour.
13:16 - Breaking news: Sanchez in Blackburn picking out mattresses

All the while their cameras are just following random South Americans.

It feels like what happens when someone goes against the grain in the Scientology community whereby someone breaks rank and dares to do something or say something not approved of so what follows is a character assassination them. Anyone doubts how massive the collective erection it is that Pep gives the top football writers in the press is, then this dispels all of those doubts.

At least we're getting some progressive news, I'm a bit worried how its only a couple of journos running the story though, surely if he was on his way for a medical every journo in the UK would be aware its the biggest sporting story of the year so far.

What's the difference between a straight swap and 'We'll pay you £35m, you pay us £35m"?

The Sanchez part is ready, so will go ahead immediately. The Mikhitaryan part is an ongoing negotiation, so can happen at its own pace

I heard Sanchez was part of the squad to face Palace? So is he not with the team?

EDIT: Just read the entire Mirror article. Seems like he left them, fine.

The difference is now they can add another 35m to the 180m. Creative math

I'm still waiting for the cost of the team bus to be factored in. That thing must be pimped out so as to be worth at least £500k. 38 league games a season, at least two cup matches, that's £20m minimum you could add to the figure right there.

It’s probably easier for the clubs to process than one deal.
Not only that. Mostly gives arsenal a lot more leverage over mino. If they decide to walk, henrikh will face staying back at a club that won't play him and then no one willing to pay him wages at any other club. So he will need to decide whether he wants to keep cashing his pay cheque or become a regular

What others have mentioned and also clauses like "% of profit" etc. need to be payed out in case United or Arsenal have those while buying Sanchez and Mkhitaryan.

I guess some of the player payments are also a percentage of the sale value and a straight-swap deal doesn't determine the actual currency value of the asset as it is just an exchange. Probably why it is legally and financial reporting wise easier to split it.

It's midnight here in Chile, and no news regarding the signing whatsoever :/
What’s the reaction in Chile like? Very pro him joining United?

I think it comes down to what many like to call “creative accounting”. Basically, a player comes onto the club’s books (ie assets) at the value they’re bought for. I think by each club paying the amount instead of a straight swap, it gives both clubs the ability to increase their asset value. Also, it may allow the associated amortisation costs of the players to be offset for tax purposes (although I’m not entirely sure what is deductible for tax purposes for a football club).

You are missing the main point though. It would still have million of viewers and that’s their only aim unfortunately. Look how distorted the news at ten has become.

Haha I showed my wife this this morning and she replied that’s why we haven’t spoken for a week then! Priorities

Rumour has it Mkhitaryan cried because when presented with his personalised farewell cake, he realised none of his team mates had bothered to learn how to spell his fecking name.
