I think the people in every South American country speak spanish except for Brazil where they speak portuguese.
Guyana's and Trinidad and Tobago's official language is English. Suriname, Curacao, and Aruba speak Dutch.

Raiola forced through the Mkhi move didn't he and I'm sure he'll do the same on this one. If he didn't want it to happen he'd have shut it down by now - just holding for more monies. Textbook c*nty Riaola.

That's debatable ;)

as a chilean I can say that we understand spanish, but we talk chilean and Alexis is a great example of that, nobody understood him in Spain and even we have to struggle to understand him. We get creatives with the language a bit too much.

This thread is wildy going offtopic. Take a breather for fifteen minutes everyone.

Discussion has moved on to languages in Chile.

Re-opening the thread, as there's a Jose press conference in 10 minutes.

Please try to keep this thread on topic and talk less about Chile's official language.

Also don't forget to tag in the mods if you've posted a tweet which contains news regarding the transfer so that we can threadmark it and it doesn't become too tough for people who don't want to read the thread to keep themselves updated.

Sanchez commenting on Troopz' Instagram post

EDIT: Went to check, it's no longer there :nono:

That's spreading like wildfire on social media. Sanchez or his media manager deleted that double time!

"I haff nothing to say, fantastic player. Can't speak because he is a Arsenal player and I respect player of another club" - Will be Mourinhos response.

Is there live coverage of the presser anywhere?

I was enjoying the discussion on languages.....its not like we were missing any activity on the transfer front.

Manchester United

Jose Mourinho has been asked about his clubs pursuit of Alexis Sanchez today and this is what he said: "Nothing new, I think clearly everybody knows that we are there.

"When the Arsenal manager speaks so clearly like he did there is no point in trying to hide or deny but it is not done at all, so in this moment Mkhitaryan is our player," said Mourinho,

"Sanchez is an Arsenal player and with a match tomorrow I want to switch off and focus on the most important thing, which is the match

Basically we are done abd we await arsenal to sort mhki deal

Nowhere near done.
Doesn't know the details as he purposefully keeps out of contract negotiations.
Wont talk about about Alexis unless he signs for United.

From Pep's press conference.
Guardiola: “Congratulations to them. The players and their managers decide what is the best for them. There's nothing to add. My opinion of Alexis remains the same. It was a pleasure to be with him in Barcelona. I wish him the best."

The waiting is killing me,I'm starting to think we will get the Burnley game out of the way then announce him after that so all focus is on the game.
