So any other player we should wrap up in January? Alex Sandro wouldnt be bad
I didn't think we'd sign anyone in January and Mourinho confirmed that that would be the case unless some spectacular opportunity came along. If anything, i expected a sale/loan or two. I can still see us selling Darmian, he doesn't serve any purpose as we'd still be well stocked in those areas should he leave. Tuanzebe out on loan hopefully.

Alex Sandro is a player worthy of being a January acquisition if we can get him. Don't think there's much to those Aleix Vidal rumors tbh. He wants playing time and he wouldn't really get much here with Valencia, Mata and hopefully Sanchez ahead of him.

he wont be in the side for Burnley and he is cup tied for the FA Cup.
I would say his first match (if it actually happens ) will be at Spurs 31st Jan.

Why won’t he? He trained through the week it seems and he doesn’t seem like the player who’ll need the time to gel with the our style of play.

24 hours question starts at 0.38. It sounds to me like Wenger does say it's likely specifically in response to the 24 hours aspect, but he could just be referring to him moving to us in general. BBC running with the more cautious 'Arsenal forward likely to join Man Utd - Arsene Wenger' from the same answer, with no reference to 24hrs.

He's eyeing up the United job :nervous:
Not wanting to derail the thread, but in the hypothetical situation of Wenger taking over from Mourinho, I suspect that would be incredibly successful - Wenger would inherit a well drilled, tactically disciplined team with a strong defence (like he did when he took over at Arsenal) and add his attacking flair to a highly talented squad.

I agree. I don't care about transfer fees, wages, it's not my money, I find all the little accountants on here and twitter utterly tedious.

Yeah, especially with a well run club like United. Whatever they are paying Sanchez/Arsenal/Raiola it is clear that they can afford it and the numbers have been crunched. Who cares?

Hacks can say what they want, there is absolutely no negative side to this transfer, Jose and the club have pulled off a master stroke, a world class player for a guy who couldn't even get in the match day squad, City can spin it however they want, they were willing to pay 60 mill with 1 year on his contact, we've done them big time.

Sanchez was left out of FA cup squad vs Forest. He will be eligible to play for us.

I’m pretty sure this transfer is worth a strong drink.

Never game my girlfriend that excuse before!

What's this 500k a week wages rubbish that is all over the internet? Like we are going to pay him 500k a week.

Sanchez > Griezmann and his shit celebration.

What a difference a week makes in football. You would have bet your nan on him joining City when the window opened - if not now then in the summer.

Massive respect for Wenger regarding the comments about our club operations. Very commendable. I honestly hope Mkhi works out for him as i like them both and think neither deserve the Flak they have recieved.
