Gray is still one of the best on TV. Shreeves comes across as more of a dick than ever. He ain’t missed.

Andy Gray speaking sense. George Boateng sounds like an idiot and says it like if there's a gap now, then there's no chance of that changing in the next 5 years. Because things don't change from season to season in football

I miss Andy Gray on sky sports. He talks sense 99% of the time.

He was so dismissive of United in the interview it was unreal. He does realise that the league titles hasn’t been defended in like 10 years right? And that no other team than United won the PL three times on the bounce. Seems like an idiot.
Yeah completely idiotic. Not even realizing that Pep was in charge of the best club side ever probably with Barca, and Mourinho beat him to a few trophies there too (including a league title).

Yep, one of the few that seems to look at things objectively from different points of view and doesn't just say "it's this way and that's the only way it can remain". Last year City were pretty mediocre. Suddenly they're quality. Things change quickly in football and he's one of the few that has actually pointed that out.

Before it's official: Mourinho is rating Shaw, right? Or you still want to buy Rose?

Better give up then. City is so good they're set for 5 years of titles.
Wow boateng so frustrating in that clip. So because city are having a great season, we should just concede we never will have a chance again and just allow the best players to go to city? "I just don't see how united can catch up", he says. Well heres an idea idiot, lets buy world class players.....

How many good looking players will United have? Rashford just? We need talent.

Rashford and Lingard look like blokes who were well on the way to being good-looking then at the very last second, swerved off to the side and ended up looking odd as hell. It's probably the massive noses.

Seems to be the former at the moment. Shaw won't be sold this january, I'm almost 100% sure of that. I think Mourinho is still undecided on what to do with the left back position. Both Shaw and Young are in great form at the moment, so he'll probably wait until the summer before deciding.

It's like he hasn't noticed Chelsea's change in fortunes from last season to this.

We’re not aloud to talk about footballers and their looks anymore. Penna warned us.

But Lingard looks like a wee gremlin.

Stick to Sanchez please.

And no stuff about cementing foundations or reinforcing a structure either.

Ah okay, would be the only "possible" player i would like in exchange. Think he has great potential. So hopefully only money without Mikhitaryan.

Mkhitaryan is class when in form. But it's a bit of a gamble for Arsenal to invest in him. A change of scenery could be what he needs though, so if Wenger believes he can make him perform then I'd be all for it if I was an Arsenal fan.

I’ll be glad to see that coward Mkhitaryan go the other way. He will improve but when the going gets tough he’ll turn into weasel again.

Totally agree, guys. Can we stay on topic and all just stick to talking about the players we'd like to give a length to.
 This thread has had people turning down Alexis Texas on one page to rimming Marcus Rashford in the next. Hopefully this transfer happens sooner rather than later

Ok, so money or Pep? Was there ever more obvious answer?

That's not the question. I hate hindsight, but with my red tinted glasses on its obvious that we are very close to Shitty. If we did not have those horrible 3 draw over Xmas, had put up a fight against Pool and got a result against Shitty it would be squeak bum time at the council house right now.

The glory of being the main man that brings us our first title since SAF retiring is something money can't buy.

The whole hot take narrative of United being the money option & City being the football one after six months of sexy football is amusingly bonkers click bait nonsense. Half a season trumps 70 odd years of context apparently. Which isn’t to say we should be relying on our history to keep us relevant or anything, because even ignoring our huge historical standing, we’re still currently, tangibly, as things stand, the holders of 2 actual trophies to their none, all during an apparent time of semi perpetual “crisis”... And we’re second.

In addition to buying Barcelona’s technical chiefs and manager, they’ve apparently also bought their whole pious Mes Un Club identity too. If only there was a silly fan dance they could appropriate as well.

It's fecking bonkers.

The concept that choosing City is the romantic option and choosing Utd is the greedy mercenary option is so fecking absurd I can't get my head around it. It's like a lot of the media and a lot of ex players are personally offended he might rather come to Old Trafford. I mean we're only the biggest club in the country who will pay him big money and give him a chance to play for trophies. Why on earth would anyone want to come here??

We've won 3 fecking trophies in the last 2 seasons ! , which is more than City have won by the way. I think it ties in to something you've mentioned before, this narrative that we've had an epic Shakespearean tragic fall from power which just isn't true. And us signing Sanchez away from City goes against that narrative which is why they seem to be struggling to accept it.

Said it earlier in the thread, but they are loved by the press because they accommodate the press. They need the press, they need fame, they need fans around the world and people to fill them empty seats. They buy the press Christmas presents and let them sit it lovely renovated areas. United have never needed the press and for the last 30 years have tried to control and keep them away, and for decent enough reasons too. It's not a mystery why Harry Redknapp got on so well with the press, no fecker else would stop and wind their windows down.
