Then force him to leave permanently. I read we are covering 7m of his 12m salary. Why the fook would we do that again?
Lauturo is ahead of him in the pecking order though.
China is the only place that realistically that will buy him. If he puts in some good performances at Inter (which expect him to do) he could be sold in January.
Complain about the squad being thin, but he hardly plays and when he does he is pretty awful. If this results in Gomes signing a deal as he going to get moved up in the picking order, than this will be a good thing getting rid of Sanchez now

How do you know that if he hasn’t even joined yet? Even then, he could easily push Lauturo out the side.
Given how atrocious Alexis is and that Lauturo had a very good Copa and looked good even yesterday, I have huge doubts about Alexis being first choice.
Even if you hold that opinion, you’re acting as if he cannot compete for that spot. It’s Lauturo not Aguero.

Sanchez had a very good Copa too, Serie A is a slow league and Sanchez despite his legs being shot is still a good productive player. Plus Conte is no fraud, he's been keen on him for a while now.
Also, Lauturo Martinez is not the second coming of Batistuta whom Sanchez can't displace.
Bad deal for us. We are not getting rid of the player completely, paying bigger part of the wages and still we don't have him as option.

You're not taking into account his presence on the squad being probably more of a hindrance. A lot of times, having the wrong personalities around or having just an overly bloated squad just means your training sessions aren't as focused, the overall quality of the sessions aren't as good and their mentalities can spread to others in a negative way. Many top managers have said multiple times it's not a good thing to have your squad overly bloated, and Ole might feel that the group will be better and more focused without people like him around (which I'm inclined to believe, mentioned it months ago). Also why I want Darmian and Rojo gone without any other purchases. We had a stupidly over bloated squad and needed to sell twice as many as we brought in at the very least. And I really dont care about the budget so much. The Glazers pay it, they have plenty to spare that they aren't investing in the club so it doesn't actually matter.

Fair points, almost same points I used too few days back. I just can't make up my mind on this deal. Sometimes I feel it's good, sometimes I feel we don't have options upfront. This also means too much of Lingard.
I won't disagree with what your are saying, those are for sure good points. My only concern is depth. I just don't have faith in Lingard and Mata.
Rojo and Darmian case is different. We have options in those positions.

Playing youth doesn't mean you play only young players. Also it doesn't mean only academy players counts. James is also young player so is McT, Rashford, Martial.
Making any conclusion after 3 games is silly.
Lingard and Mata are both more useful than Sanchez though. Greenwood, Gomes or Tahith Chong getting chances is more useful than Sanchez. That's why I don't see Sanchez leaving as a bad thing at all. He'd come in and play like shit then we'd get frustrated with him and he would set a bad example, and that's just where things are at with him.
I don't mind players like Greenwood, Gomes, Chong getting chances. Forgot about Chong tbh. I don't agree with Mata and Lingard being better. Lingard has contributed to 0 goals in nearly a year, Mata doesn't have legs to play with bit of pace.
Let's see how we get on. Hopefully we won't have any big injury crisis and also our young players will step up.
Sanchez also doesn't have the legs anymore! And over the past 2 seasons, Sanchez and Lingard have played around the same amount of minutes (including Sanchez's 6 months with Arsenal in 17/18). During that time, Sanchez has 10 goals and 9 assists in the league (playing as much more of a forward of course), Lingard has 12 goals and 7 assists in the league (playing as more of a midfielder/support player rather than main guy). Of course, we all know Lingard isn't ultimately good enough, but he does offer plenty of value as a squad player. The issue is just that he shouldn't be starting and certainly not in a role where he is expected to contribute regular goals and assists, as he isn't capable of that really.
Anyway, yeah we'll be screwed if we get an injury crisis, so fingers crossed. That'd happen with or without Sanchez... Like he is just dead weight IMO who doesn't contribute either way, the bigger problem was just not bringing in someone like Mandzukic to give us that target man type to be a back up striker for us. We'll see how it goes though.

Yeah he doesn't have legs but better than Mata. He has decent acceleration. Also that goal return, Lingard had his best season in 2017-18, I was talking about the stat that popped up last week, that Lingard didnt score or assist since december, that's very poor record.
Anyways lets see. Hopefully our young players will step up. Sanchez alone isnt a big miss as James as scored as many goals as Sanchez, just that we lost players like Lukaku too and have players like Lingard starting regularly. Had we signed one more RW then losing Sanchez would have been such an easy decision. Even now i'm not fully convinced whether it's a good or bad deal btw. Maybe it's better to see how our players step up.
Out of 12 million euros after tax, they are paying 5 million and we are paying 7 million.
Also one more positive in this deal (hard to find many btw) is there is no option to buy. If he plays well, at least we can set the terms, if he plays badly then Inter anyways wouldn't have signed him.

I bet Rashford is excited to play about 60 games this year. Sanchez could have easily played a part till Christmas. Makes no sense that we’d do that to a week forward line, but keep all 100 of our defenders.
With Sanchez moving to Inter on loan this confirms to me that United are not expecting to compete for any competitions at all this year other than to bed the players into a working tactical system. We better get used to this because I think we're mid-table level at the moment.

So we've saved nearly ten million notes and got this:
We need to bear in the mind there were no 'good' deals, the damage had been done signing a near-30 declining player on world-class wages. What we've done is the least-worst deal; Alexis gets the chance to put himself in the shop window at nearly a third of the cost to us, without disgruntling our squad. If you have misgivings that a player who could contribute in a threadbare position for us is being given away fair play to you, personally I've given up any hope of Sanchez doing anything positive in a United shirt and getting him closer to the exit door is the main positive of this deal.

Agree, hopefully this time they don’t bottle it like they did under LVG and inevitably when fans start moaning later in the year don’t just fire Ole panic and scrap yet another rebuild.
This certainly looks like they’ve decided that this is a bit of a throw away year but given the circumstances of Chelsea maybe they thought they could squeeze in top 4 so it might not be too bad. Probably hoping Arsenal will just do an Arsenal.
Anyway I feel like at some point in the season Sanchez would be handy but if he’s going I’m not really all that fussed we’ll muddle through with Lingard.
